So just when does a coupon expire? Oatsdead asks and Hoofyville mourns coupon expiration dates as the usual SHiTe hilarity follows. We even have a special appearance from naGtr to share his retail experience, too.
If a coupon reads "Expires on March 24, 2019", does that mean it can still be used on March 24 or that March 23 was the last day it could be used?
As many presumably deduced, this is what inspired the thread.
Had a popcorn/drink coupon for AMC Theaters that said "Expires on March 24, 2019". Tried to use it March 24, 2019 and was told it "ended" on 3/23.
Not sure if this was a system-wide issue - ie, the coupon wouldn't scan at any AMCs - or if it was just overzealous policing by my local AMC.
That AMC seems to have problems with dates. I saw a movie last fall that claimed a 3D version of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" would run first.
Got to the movie - no "Thriller".
Was told "oh, that ended yesterday" even though my ticket clearly listed "Thriller" as part of the bill! :help:
With all of his “freebies” Oats apparently gets for his “website” don’t you think he could afford the price of popcorn and pop with or without a coupon?
