Great holiday. We had some pics of the teletype messages this year, nice. One SHiTE is certain there would have been more Beatle albums if Lennon had lived. Right. Get out much, dipshit? I truly liked the moron who poated that no matter where he jogged in NYC he always ended up going by the Ed Sullivan Theater (The BEATLES!) the Dakota and ending up in Central Park, I mean Strawberry Flats. Amazing, dude. Just amazing.
The odd first person poat to Johhny appeared again, writing as if Johnny could read it. Sorry, been done before. Oh. Dude went to NYC and stood there. There in the archway. And he never wants to stand there again. The Boogie Man going to getcha, feeb?
Note of hilarity: the simpleton wrote his fave John album is A Hard Day's Night. John album?
Up at the toppermost of the poppermost we find outright denial.
John Lennon will never die. No madman, no government and no hater can ever rid the world of the genius and significance of John Winston Ono Lennon
And the truly personal and he can't even talk about it. Wow. Nice one.
John, it is harder, but we live without you in our life. Who you are and what you did lives in the hearts of those who choose to have in their hearts who you are and what you did. Peace.
For many reasons, beyond those words I just can't talk about it.
Fate reared its ugly head this year. Where? In Dallas, of course. Unfortunately the English language didn't make the trip.
Info from Beatle City@Dallas TX-1987.After performing live @dmc in 64 the Dallas Morning News asked John his thoughts on Dallas &the show.John reply was"It was a great time&lot of fun but for some reason I felt....somewhat uncomfortable, I can't put my finger on it.In that crowd of teens a few rows from the stage sat Mark David Chapman.Again info from Beatle City-Dallas TX,1987. Note disputers check your Lennon/Beatle facts.Dallas was one the city's picked for a Beatle City tour set up in Dallas for a year I spent many a day there. Not to mention the loan of some of my Lennon memoribelia for the museum.Peace.
Summing up: Some very good contributions to the holiday this year. The relatively low number of responses is made up for by some decent quality poats. But JamieC has defended his title once again.

The relatively low number of responses is made up for by some decent quality poats. But JamieC has defended his title once again. While I agree that JamieC won the title a few years back, I contend that since he didn't make an entry in this year's event, he isn't eligible for the 2017 Chappie. For this year's award, samthesham deserves to win. He submitted five entries, which are full of crying, shaking, conspiracy theories, Lennon/Christ references, and signing everything with "peace". (He gets bonus points for mentioning his promo copy of Lennon's final album.) First, the crying (mentioned two times): I was putting my promo copy of "Double Fantasy" away when the news broadcast that John was longer with us.I wept.I thought it was over for me when the Beatles broke apart.I eventually got over that pain but this lose I will never get over.Today Dec.8,2017 I wept.Happy Xmas-War Is Over(If You Want It).Peace. Then, the conspiracy theory: Info from Beatle City@Dallas TX-1987.After performing live @dmc in 64 the Dallas Morning News asked John his thoughts on Dallas &the show.John reply was"It was a great time&lot of fun but for some reason I felt....somewhat uncomfortable, I can't put my finger on it.In that crowd of teens a few rows from the stage sat Mark David Chapman.Again info from Beatle City-Dallas TX,1987. Irrelevant factoid, that is likely pure bullshit: I have book of matches taken from that room that John had used.My Aunt was a journalist and new my love of John/Beatles and gave it to me.Believe it or not.Peace. The shaking(?): Kennedys murder,Beatles breakup,Hendrix&ELVIS deaths I learned to live with but this I will never get over the killer is my age from my hometown(Dallas) and went to school right up the road from me.Peace. Finally, comparing Lennon and Christ: Blessed are the Peacemakers- Jesus Christ War Is Over(If You Want It) John Ono Lennon Peace.

I have asked the judges panel to reconvene after noting what is clearly a groundswell of opposition regarding the original ruling. After an all-night deliberation session (which involved rivers of booze and the odd suspicious smoking substance ) the rather hung-over panel submits the following irrefutable ruling: JamieC is disqualified for his no-show. However, the judges have awarded him the Lifetime Achievement Chappie™ in honor of his past and still towering championship. Take a bow, Jamie. Which means that this year's Chappie™ - by popular demand - and after submitting a record-breaking five (5) heartbreaking, sobbing, inane, sorry-assed poats, goes to... (drum roll) samthesham Take a bow there, Sammy. Oh. And Woolly Fucking Bully. The panel now retires after a long and bloody fookin' sleepless night and will reconvene here in 2018. Good night.

It was the night of my wife's 22nd birthday. Her birthday has remained a bittersweet occasion ever since. She used to complain when I would say she was born on the day after Pearl Harbor. Wifey and I were in bed(I had to work on Tuesday morning), when the phone rang at about 11 pm. My wife heard me scream NOOOOOOOO and dropped the phone. I never made it to work the next day. Baby held me as I cried through the night. I wanted to wrap my arms around Yoko so bad that night and hold her. I think she knew that too.
33 years. JamieC, Dec 7, 2013 #30 ZAck Scott and Bill like this.
Woke up, fell out of bed Heard the news that John was dead. Made my way downstairs and had a stroke Then somebody spoke and I went into a scream:

Instead, the SHites should mourn (pick any date) 1966 - when Lennon basically checked out of the Beatles and with the exception of Strawberry fields - didn't contribute many decent songs afterwards.
