Is Blu-ray really that problematic, or is that just a typical anal retentive/born loser SHite thing? According to their endless whining, one out of every four Blu-ray discs is unplayable. I have never dealt with the format, but I find it hard to believe that something that broken would ever make it to market in the first place.
Every time these old fools start their incessant whining demanding "replacement discs," I wish someone would invent a face punching machine.
I haven’t put a disc in my player in about 5 years. I know it took about 5 minutes to fucking load the menu. My player is pretty old so not sure if the newer generation are better. I've got a new(ish) player and I've never had a disc fail to play in it! It's definitely a "typical anal retentive/born loser SHite thing".

I have watched hundreds of Blu-ray discs, both pressed and burned, and have never had a single issue. Buncha dumbfucks.

I’m sure if you have some audiophool BluRay player that is not ever updated then yeah, I’m sure they do have problems. My $9 player I got at Goodwill has never had a problem with anything.

The SHites Cadillac of Blu-Ray Players the great Oppo overpriced junk cannot play the Beatles disc but the cheapo Sony & Panasonic players have no problems. I'm sure they have good explanation for that.

It turned out to be a manufacturing error and they sent out the Hoofman forum favorite: "replacement discs."

I've had exactly two, Planet of the Apes disc one won't boot in one player(Sony S370), and an XTC disc won't load on PS3. All my other shit plays on all of my players. The Oppos won't be getting firmware updates, so lots of crabby ShItEs in the future.

Never had a problem, on 4 diff players, whether purchased or home-made BDs. But I generally don't have the manufacturing/delivery/alienation/&c probs They have over There,

But I generally don't have the manufacturing/delivery/alienation/&c probs They have over There, That's because a barely perceptible micro-second long "click", glitch or gap between songs doesn't give you the vapors like those dumb fucks.

Why would you? It's completely superfluous. Those sets are only worth it for the 5.1, if you're so inclined.

About the Abbey Road Black Triangle ceedee: Tom, The JPN version is a glorious flat transfer from the "Abbey Road to Toshiba" 15 ips analog copy tape. I love the sound of it; remarkably free of any CD mastering "tricks". Steve Hoffman, Feb 23, 2005 marcb said: A closer comparison would probably be to the Japanese pro-series LP. It is speculated that the CD used the same master tape copy as the pro-series LP. Makes sense to me. FWIW, I haven't played the pro-series LP in a while. But I seem to recall that, while it sounded very good, it sounded a little more clinical (or perhaps "neutral" - not that neutral is a bad thing) than my 1st press UK. The UK is a little warmer and has nice balance. As is probably obvious, the UK is the copy I generally listen to. Unfortunately I do not have the black triangle CD to compare. No, no. The tape copy made for Toshiba by EMI is flat. The JPN LP was NOT CUT FLAT; impossible really with those long sides. Compromises had to be made. The triangle CD WAS mastered flat. That's the reason that it commands such a high price. It's the only way to hear the master tape, warts and all without interim tweaking by a well-meaning mastering dude eg me,Steve "Breath Of Life" Hoffman. Steve Hoffman, Feb 23, 2005

Fuck that entire thread. I fucking hate Brodnation. Prick. BRODNATION knows things. There’s a singles box coming out in a few weeks, work has all been done but BRODNATION wants them to stop the presses and LISTEN UP!! “Ok, APPLE LISTEN UP!! I know things. Get a little busy around here but I’m gonna tell you exactly what you need to do to make this a essential purchase! 1) include the less echo’d version of Ask Me Why 2) master she loves you PROPERLY. Like you did on the 92’ Box: do a new transfer using only the left channel in mono 3) use the mono single masters up to ballad of John and Yoko. Then use the stereo single masters 4) Master these as flat and true to tape as possible 5) whatever plant you’re using for the SDEs. STAY THERE. I haven’t gotten a single problem pressing from there Best wishes (and please don’t screw this up)” I hope they screw this up.
