*buries face in hands*
The British Hedrix fans over there are horrid; they claim Jimi as "their own", praise everything Mitch "Sneakers In the Dryer" Mitchell has ever done, and in a very racist manner, denigrate anything Buddy Miles' ever did.

When I was a kid, I had a black substitute teacher who was from England. She tried to tell us how racism didn't exist across the pond.

Nice... have never heard that before. Kind of like the "falling down the stairs" drumming of Keith Moon (I think it's his own description IIRC).

They should consult an authority on the subject, a famous boomer English blues guitarist: Eric Clapton. He would strongly disagree with the “Jimi Hendrix, Englishman” characterization.
He’d say it’s “Jimi Hendrix, N!&%€r”
