Hmmmmmmmmmmm…… "Mike Carrera posting this early this morning is game over. But we knew anyway probably...announcement I assume is Mon or Tues.. This is a great day...they're under orders to not tell yet, but nobody can complain if we figure it out. Once Jack Douglas blabbed & Beatlefan published the tracklist, it was kind of impossible to miss ..& Mike's hints just make us feel good, confirming what we already concluded or wanted to conclude.. Mike Carrera is one of us, he wouldn't tease about a track with Ringo Paul & John....its over !! Now all we gotta do is hear it, get the details of who did what....& find out if there's more !!" Then: "I've chased this like an addict for 24 years, since reading about Now & Then in Beatles monthly & other blurbs..prior to the Anthology 3 release...Of course we aren't getting Now & Then..we're getting the other one.....frankly imo it's a better song....of course like everyone else here, I'll be nervous until we get official confirmation.. Of course we aren't getting an official Beatles release, it's Ringo Starr, with Paul & John...with John doing that high part...I wonder how the 3 part vocals worked out..maybe they found a different demo of John...there are better ones...or splice pieces of 2-3 different John demos together This is a glorious day...the lack of a new track on Anthology 3 left me cold for 24 years.. I always felt you needed at least 1 song from Paul Ringo & George..Beatles albums were never just John....vocally or writing...we need Now & Then or some kinda Paul song to have proper closure...but this is GREAT !!! I'm guessing Joe Walsh on lead/slide.. sigh.... as Paul said in 1997..It's Gonna Be A Great Day..." The reads like a QAnon post.

Same as this- a sane person does not spend this amount of time verbalising a fantasy credit on an imaginary song. “Oh it was you joking.....But Maccawings has it as his avatar now....as if it's a clue saying Grow Old w be on the new album ( possibly w Ringo Paul & John ).... But thing is....Maccawings from what I've observed over the years, is more prone to just do that as a joke ..whereas Mike Carrera tells joke too, but not usually in that fashion....But Mike put a picture of Lennon is his Avatar last night.. sooo Let's face it cats outta the bag..first Mike & Wings said something was up but wouldn't say more, then in rapid succession Jack Douglas spills half the beans, Quickly followed by the Something New-Beatles Monthly leaked tracklist, featuring Grow Old W Me...... It's pretty Obvious at this point.....the only thing needing confirmation is that Ringo Paul & John are on the track together.....I think at this point people will be simply irked, irritated & sad if they are allowing water to boil for a stale bread sandwich. One thing that concerns me however.....Jack Douglas made a pretty vehement comment yesterday that Ringo produces his own stuff these days....and does a real fine job at it too... he said! Well what concerns me is....using the Lennon demo, fixing it, preparing it, editing, & then or also...blending in vocals by Ringo & Paul, possibly additional singers, new instrumentation, guitars, drums, keys, possible orchestration etc...well that's pretty delicate brain surgery doing all that properly.....I'd expect more of a Jack Douglas or Jeff Lynne or Giles Martin type producer to oversee a session that complex. .the sonic issues, pitch, editing choices, balancing are all quite tricky in that scenario...could Ringo solely produce all that ?? Could Bruce Sugar engineer that? Maybe its credited something along the lines of...Produced by Ringo Starr..and then either... technical assistance by...or additional engineering by ...or executive production Jack Douglas on track # etc etc.. I'm not quibbling over semantics...a record using parts of Lennon's demo & incorporating Ringo & Paul singing, & adding instrumentation in similar fashion to Real Love & FAAB...problems with pitch, tempo drift, beefing up John's voice..yes they 'can' be viewed as engineering issues, as opposed to producing the record....but the line is pretty blurry in a case like this...this type of meshing a safety of a shoddy 3rd Generation mono cassette with a modern recording doesn't have a whole lot of examples in rock history, it's been done. But it's not common. If John's not on the record, & all the hoopla is just to hear Ringo sing lead, or God Forbid hear 86 year old Yoko & Sean sing with Ringo....or worse ( Dhani you can use the tapes if ) ...I'll throw the neighbors cat out the window !!@ So....I think I'll burn the copy with FAAB 1st, then All Those Years Ago for a peppy one.. then Real Love ( Jeff Lynne 2016 ? Remix ) gotta get a Paul in there: somehow )...Blue Moon Of Kenn-tukeee ?-then the big closer.. Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be!! Has anyone noticed NO ONE has mentioned Jeff Lynne's name through this whole thing even once...oh darn it doesn't sound like ELO. It's too beatley !!!!!!! Ringo RINGO ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆▪ By The Way......did anyone catch the fact recently...talking about Lennon's Dakota cassette demos-Jack Douglas recently revealed that the tape Yoko gave the Beatles in 1994 with the 4 songs.. .was a generation down copy of the tape he * Douglas has. .& that 'mostly' the songs on it, have been released in the lost Lenkon series & the various box sets & comps....,,,,,,,,key word being 'mostly'.”

Well, if something gets released like Now and Then or some cleaned up version of some other track of Lennon + Threatles -- that's cool. I'm sure if it's on Spotify I'll listen to it.
But these morons make it sound like it's Christmas Eve and they are in their beds like little children, tossing and turning. Seriously, it's just a fucking song. go listen to the new Bats for Lashes in the meantime.
It's like Jeatle's addiction. Someone should make a pill for these people.

I saw Jeatle's Addiction at Looserpalooza in the early 90s. They were no Beagles, I’ll tell ya.

Turns out Lennon won't be on the fucking awful song after all. Just Ringo and Paul.
Johnny Moondog is sulking....

Given the state the world is in, I can't imagine someone's biggest problem is that there won't be a threetles track on the next Ringo album, and yet here we are. Yours is as life well-lived Johnny Moondog.

Hard to believe that the Lennon estate and Apple Corps would piss away an unreleased Lennon song/vocal (no matter how forgettable) on an even more forgettable Ringo Starr solo album. Paul turning up at the studio for an afternoon to do an amply-publicized turn for good ol' Ringo is one thing, but that's not the direction that Yoko's charitable activities generally run. But I'm not an insider, so what do I know?

In case anyone didn’t know by Johnny’s constant “any updates? ??” posts bumping up the thread, The Who are on tour and have an album out soon that I’m sure 6 people will enjoy. Indeed. That number would be 8, but the two surviving Who members (survivehoos?) genuinely will hate it . Fun fact: their most famous song is titled "Won't Get Fooled Again"! Btw, for you young folk, there was a time when The Who (a quartet, in the day, IIRC) were actually quite good. This time ended well over FOUR DECADES AGO. So, like, most of you guys weren't born yet.
