I’ve never known anyone so obsessed with the idea of ‘flying in’ stuff.

I suppose it's only a matter of time before deepfake audio technology reaches the point where all of this guy's wacko fantasies can actually be realized. John and George harmonizing from the grave on some dipshit McCartney song? The only thing preventing it will be our collective sense of decency.

I had my doubts, but it sounds like Ringo's fab and gear new groovy grooves are ready to drive a new generation of teenyboppers wild:

Erlewine listened to Ringo's album more than once? What's up with that?

Cogitive dissonance at it's finest. That idiot really believes tens of thousands of cd orders of the new Who were lost.

Update: The Who’s new album is out and apparently people like it. It even has a mashup of an old demo and new orchestration, the kind Moondog likes so much. Now can Johnny rest peacefully knowing his favorite boomer band is rawking again with “their best album since Quadrophenia”? Of course not.
Now they have to analyze when the different parts of the Frankensteined song were made. Apparently someone found the tape box with the actual recording date written in his hero’s hand, but Johnny’s not so sure and of course wants more fake songs.
“Others have said 1966 not 65...not sure which is correct.
Has anyone tried to blend-mash Beads on One String with Townshend's solo demo, to get a bit more of a vocal duet...the track seems to be the same one, before more overdubs took place
I'd like to speed up I'll Be Back say about 10%, IF I could do it without bad artifacts..just to see..”

That new Who album is already down to £6.99 in HMV. By the end of January it’ll be £1.99. Pile of shit it is anyway.

However it's my theory,, based on a lot of reading, that Flaming Pie is largely a direct result of the aftermath of the Beatles reunion. That McCartney was in favor of continuing the reunion with more new songs, written by he & George Harrison. It's obvious listening to most of the Flaming Pie songs, that McCartney had Beatle thoughts on his mind imo. I believe he probably asked George to participate as well as Ringo, George Martin & Jeff Lynne, & Harrison simply declined, either because cancer had been discovered, or because he just didn't care too. Linda also became gravely ill in this period, ( that vibe can be heard too imo ) the melancholy. I Believe according ( to witnesses ) after George was attacked & stabbed, while recovering, he supposedly expressed regret & stated he needed to get together with Paul & play ( or record ) & mend any fences between them. This would be circa 98-99..& personally I intuit ( believe ) they did...& that this is ( probably ) one of the things Dhani Harrison was referring to ( at Coachella ) 8 or 10 years ago, when he told a member here, the contents of the Harrison archives were incredible & beyond belief. Not to mention 60s Beatle & solo demos, another 2 dozen later period Brainwashed songs, cover songs, jams with celebrity friends ( Clapton, Jim Capaldi, Ringo , McCartney, Jon Lord, etc etc ).

If they discovered that this happened, that there was a reunion with 800 songs recorded, this fucker would still not be satisfied. He’d want to “fly in” a Ringo or John.
Fucking hell give it a rest!

He must be the only person still cares about The Who’s new album. It “fell off the charts” this week and Johnny knows why.
“Actually Target shipped 10K in previously uncounted, back orders for WHO the past week. That order alone was enough to place them back up the charts. Not to mention all the other orders.
“However, Yikes ! Billboard & Rolling Stone just ignored WHO & all the sales...not placing it as would be appropriate. The only people that knew WHO wouldn't chart are the people that prevented it, through sleight of hand. Or worse.”
