SHites would have done so much better than The Beatles’ design team. forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/abbey-road-50th-anniversary-discussion-what-can-we-expect.777492/page-290#post-21664667“I've always wondered why Abbey Road was released in minimal packaging in 1969. Pepper, MMT, White Album, even Let It Be, were all dressed up in extravagant, for the times, art. But here's Abbey Road, maybe the crowning Beatles achievement, wrapped in a single pocket album. No gatefold, no inner sleeve, no poster, just the cover (without their name or album title), and an Apple Record. Beyond that, why wasn't there a second single (Here Comes The Sun) released to keep sales going? I know all about the behind the scenes drama, the break up, the boredom, etc, etc. But this is Abbey Road we're talking about Yet it seems like it was released with minimal fanfare, and the Beatles couldn't walk away from it (and each other) fast enough. Where was Klein? Why wasn't he marketing the hell out of this album even as the band privately imploded? Why was it released in September, and not the more lucrative Christmas season, which was really just a few moths away. Maybe Spizer touches on this in the new book? It always seemed strange to me.”

<SHITE ON> I actually liked that AB was a minimal affair. Had a bit of a "less is more" thing going on. <SHITE OFF>

That thread is over 300 pages of pure stupidity.

Only the shorter ones.
Because it either 1) died a quick death before it made us all stupider or 2) it likely was fairly informative and intelligent. Which of course we can't have any of that on Steve's forum. Scrub hard.
