forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/apparently-here-comes-the-sun-is-the-most-popular-beatles-song-with-millenials-huh.864964/StillTripping6769 says: "Okay, so this I don't really get. Obviously I'm glad that younger generations are seeking out great music from the past and have favorites, etc, etc, and this is just another great example of the Beatles' timeless appeal, too. But . . . I recently read that "Here Comes the Sun" is the Beatles "most streamed" and most popular song with millenials. And . . . I gotta ask . . . why?!? I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a nice tune and adds great texture to side two of Abbey Road (perfect sequencing leading off the side). The Beatles were amazing at making the sum greater than its parts like that. On it's own, as a standalone song? Ehh. . . . Again, it's nice. Great melody. But it's never been considered anything more than a B-level Beatles tune. Nice, but not earth-shattering. I mean, if these kids knew anything, "Hey Jude" would be the most streamed. Don't they know it was their biggest single and defining moment? There just seems to be a lack of historical awareness here which is annoying." I can't believe those shallow young fuckers listen to songs they like, not what people liked over 50 years ago. Because the best part of listening to music is the historical awareness.

I have my own list of my four favorite Beatles songs. Here Comes The Sun happens to be one of them. I am also not a millennial. May I extend a most heartfelt invitation for ST6769 to kiss my ass at any time that is most convenient for him to do so.
"Historical awareness". Sometimes the irony is just too much to even attempt to rationally comprehend.

Hey Jude should be banned from airplay, never mind streamed.

Those "shallow young fuckers" shouldn't like ANY Beatles songs. They should only like music that is so divergent and fresh that it is not recognizably linkable to r&r in any way. I pray for the joyful fucking day that music like that fills the PA systems of our shopping malls.

For what it's worth, Here Comes The Sun has always been my son's favourite Beatles song, since the age of about 4 years old.

Just spent the afternoon with my three year old niece, who insisted we play Something at least four times. She absolutely loves with middle eight. Well done George, you’ve got the kids’ vote.

Skimming the last few pages of that thread, it’s truly the best and worst of the special needs class over there.
M*****l is leading the charge, unsurprisingly.

Something about how he had to ‘eek’ something out, and how it’s good that ‘Milleniums’ like The Beatles.

I just wish Fab George were around to get his 'props'. It's a timeless song, with a majestic and fresh guitar sound...especially for listeners too young and incurious to know Mason Williams "Classical Gas". Lightworker, Friday at 2:27 PM
