I would like to know why I have been banned from the audio hardware forum for the last few months. :realmad:
No moderator has contacted me and no reason has been given.
I am very unimpressed to say the least. Perhaps honest opinions are not welcome.

Carl Swanson:
Raising your complaint in public will not help.
You need to PM a gort.
You need to PM a gort.

Depends on what you allegedly did to piss them off. Did you ask them what the deal was?
Hifi Kenny:
Nothing that should "piss off" anyone with independent, intelligent and objective mind.
Why?
What's a gort?
Why?
What's a gort?
Myke:
The answer to "why ?" is simply that, in the Rules, questioning the actions of a Gort (Administrator) publicly, is against the rules. They suggest you PM one of them privately.
Bob_32_116:
I take the charitable interpretation of this question, that Hifi Kenny has somehow been a member of this forum for over a year without the information filtering down to him about what a gort is.
A gort, @hifi Kenny, as I understand it, is a slang term on this board for a moderator or administrator. One of these people has, apparently, banned you from a particular part of the site. It is these people to whom you should direct your complaint about alleged mistreatment. The rest of us have no way of knowing whether your claim of mistreatment is justified or not, and moreover we probably have no interest in whatever the issue was. Nor could we do anything about it even if we all believed you to be in the right. It is, in other words, none of our business or concern.
Try sending a message to one of the people on this list:

Raising your complaints in the public forum is not going to help you, and may in fact work against you by getting people annoyed at the distraction.

What's intelligent and objective to you may not be to anyone else. You really should just ask the moderators why they allegedly banned you instead of insulting them on this thread. they read this, and one of them could make life here harder for you. Just sayin...
It's becoming obvious that you have no idea about how this site is run or what the rules are. There is a list of rules in the FAQ section, but few people ever read them. Sure, we all break them from time to time. I know I have! I'm on their radar and they probably follow me around to check up on me or assign one to read my daily list of posts.
This place is unlike any other on the internet. We have a very huge diverse population and have a lot of moderators. You won't get that anywhere else. They do try to work with the membership. Some places would just as soon ban you without any communication at all.
If you've ever seen the film "The Day The Earth Stood Still" you will know what a "gort" is. Watch it anyway. It's a good movie, both the original and the remake.

Hifi Kenny:
But how do I know that a "Gort" has taken action? Nobody warned or contacted me. Suddenly, I could not post on one section of the forum.
Wow! That is so patronising! I've apparently been banned from a main section for several months
For the record, I read the forum rules and have followed them.
I think, if that comment is typical of the mindset on here, I'll leave.

MYKE:
The reason you're locked out of a sub forum doesn't matter, you should contact an Admin. and ask why.
