“Greenland’s Ice Sheet Lost 11 Billion Tons In One Day”Designed that way, my friend(s). Diamond (a scientist who's not bought and paid for by big business) will help us rest easy.... Click ahead to 0:37.... Real scientists usually don't go by pseudonyms like "Diamond". Is there any evidence that this crackpot is a scientist and what his credentials are if any? Just watch his videos. 51K do. Find the one's that'll interest you. Lots to learn. If we don't do something about global warming, we are in trouble in 10 years. I heard this in 2006 when the "experts" claimed the numbers showed the ice caps disappearing by 2016. Hey how about that....the ice caps are still there! Give it time.....maybe a thousand years from now the global warming folks will get it right!

I’m certain that Rose River Bear did not read that the ice caps would be gone by 2016. And even if he did, he doesn’t understand how science works. It’s always changing and adapting based on new information and scrutiny

The anti-science slant in America infuriates me. I don't know how many times I've heard people say they think SCIENCE has be discredited because some finding turned out to be wrong got updated. Bitch, that's how it works!

I’m certain that Rose River Bear did not read that the ice caps would be gone by 2016. And even if he did, he doesn’t understand how science works. It’s always changing and adapting based on new information and scrutiny Back in the oughts, one scientist's group (Maslowski ) was saying they might (but they were referring to summer sea ice, not the whole 'ice cap', not a year-round melt). It was considered a very 'aggressive', worst-case model by everyone in the field (Maslowski had a habit of making them) and was judged accordingly. But not by the press. Al Gore picked up on it , managed to mangle details of it, and off we go. What did happen is: The decline trend is there, and it's very likely we'll have an entirely sea-ice-free summer before 2050. That's not an outlier, worst-case scenario, it's a good bet. The arctic now stays navigable for more of the year than ever before. Russia and the US are both considering major drilling there. I doubt cretins like the Asshole Rose appreciate why that is. Sea ice melt doesn't raise sea level (duh) though it certainly impacts polar wildlife. But add land ice melt (like, duh, *Greenland*) to that and it's a recipe for disaster.

Indeed. If Putin and Trump (and more importantly whoever it is who pulls their strings) were smart AND smooth, they would have already signed a bilateral treaty honouring each other's Arctic territorial claims. Could have spun it as a great diplomatic milestone for peace and mutual capitalist cooperation etc.
Grabbing the Arctic is one of Putin's highest priorities (good for Exxon too), and only the hubbub about Trump's (alleged) treason can explain why this hasn't been done yet.

I’m sure that after the way the US govt treated Puerto Rico after hurricane maria, the people of Greenland would want nothing more than to become a US territory
Assuming it was for sale. Which it’s not.
I’m honestly surprised he isn’t going around telling countries he doesn’t like that he’s going to buy them.

The Amazon Rain Forest is on fire... and no one is talking about it.You do realize that fires, in forests, happen from time to time...All forests. Plenty of natural ways to start a fire. Plenty of other ways to start a fire too. While fire is devastating in the moment, and immediately afterwards, it often is a great rejuvenation event. Most regrettable, but will give way to new growth and new life. "Pirates have raided twenty villages this summer on our southern shores!" "Well, last year they raided thirty..." "Oh...well, then...carry on..." "Pirate raids are down more than thirty percent over last year!" "Oh...well, then...let's fudge the data to make people think they're way up."

Rain forest burns and it’s “Har har! get over it, hippy” Master tapes burn and it’s “Oh my god! I hope my hippy music is ok!” Priorities.
