And I thought Lyndon LaRouche was dead. He clearly, in spirit lives on. May be immortal, fFs.

That’s bullshit. The modern free market “ideology” arose in the early 20th century from the works of Mises, Hayek, Friedman, and Rothbard (all Jewish) who were combatting authoritative central economic planning that was being used by governments all over the world to deprive individuals of their Liberty. 1970's Chile likes this. Countdown for the predictably empty "weeellll actually"… The big ell Liberty always looks stupidly evangelical.

You mean that time Friedman tried to convince Pinochet to abandon authoritative central economic planning?

You mean that time Friedman tried to convince Pinochet to abandon authoritative central economic planning? You mean that time after his Chicago School asshole "students" fucked the country over?

“Blame economists for the mess we are in” If I didn’t know any better I would have thought that was an alt-right propaganda piece. That’s where you typically see this sort of anti-academic sentiment. But it is true that leftists like FDR were scared of people like John Maynard Keynes, who is one of the greatest economists of all time. Economists are not responsible for our problems. That’s complete nonsense.. They are responsible for educating people. Selfish, ignorant politicians are responsible for our problems, because they are the ones who implement destructive policies. Guess who elects them? Selfish, ignorant voters. Also, nothing in your source proves that any of the policies that Friedman advocated for that were implemented caused growing income inequality. So fuck you and your anti-intellectual, anti-academic bullshit.

But how will we know that aggressivebeta is smarter than the rest of us if he doesn't keep the debate going? He's already proven he isn't funny.

So fuck you and your anti-intellectual, anti-academic bullshit. Binyamin Applebaum, right wing anti-intellectual warrior. And me, the anti-academic anti-intellectual. Right. As if no academic scholars have ever traced the (sometimes pernicious) influencce of various economic schools of thought. You think no one has condemned the Chicago School before? If you're too lazy to read more than the headline, and the actual arguments under it, and think he's entirely anti academic economists, at least go read some thoughtful reviews of his book, nitwit, and educate yourself that much about it. It's made something of a splash.

Please provide a quote from any of the sources you’ve linked that you believe proves your position that policies that Friedman advocated for have been harmful to the country.
