Planes are too safe nowadays. In my day, we lost a rock star or even a whole band every year or two because of some drunk pilot or malfunctioning engine, and it just made life more exciting. Built character too. There wasn't any fancy internet then. I remember how me and my chums Bobby and Billy would go down to the record store man every Saturday and ask him, "Gee, mister, whose body are they fishing out of a lake in Wisconsin this week?" These millennials today feel so entitled. I asked my grand-niece, who's the only family member who still answers my calls, and she said she expected her favorite musicians to, get this, "not be murdered by the nation's transportation system." I blame Elizabeth Warren.

If Patsy Cline had lived would she have taken the path Madonna took and worn pointy bra cones in concert first?
