M*****l doesn’t deserve fairness. Yeah, but putting meds/perfect wife thing into its proper context doesn’t distract from the fact that M*****l remains a blithering idiot.

One thing I have always wondered is where “STeVE” (or “STeVe”) came from. I don’t know why but that always makes me laugh when I see it. I have a friend named Steve and when I try to email him my phone now automatically corrects to STeVE!

As usual, a bunch of forum members were excitedly taking about the original SMiLE upcoming releases in a fairly interesting thread free of flaming or jokes about Mike Love or whatever. And of course, the conversation was NOT about Hoffman. So like a dick, he deleted the original thread and started his own APPROVED thread.

Hi, first time poster (just registered after googling SMiLE info and came upon the site). Anyone know where the thread went with all the press release links? It was there before I registered, and now it's gone. Am I not searching in the right place? If anyone could direct me to that other thread, I'd greatly appreciate it. Oh, and I might be a first time poster, but I am a long time SMiLE devotee (hence what I consider proper lower case/upper case spelling)!
This is it.

This is great work. These memories are filling my mind with bliss.
Can we track down Tonmeister's first use 'pal'?

Hello everyone. I've lurked the hoofy boards for years, as well as both iterations of Stereo Central. I've never bothered to create an account, though, until today since I'm home with the flu with nothing else to do.
Anyway... I'd like to say that my favorite catchphrase is "crankable."
A close second is when hoofy says, "cycles," instead of "hertz." Using such jargon clearly shows that he's in the know.

More Cowbell!!!!
I don't know if this is a SHite phrase or not but I hate it equal. They say it a lot over there, more of the SHites cutting edge humor they think they have.

I can’t tell if you’re being facetious, but the term is from an old SNL skit. The SNL bit itself is funny, but like with many other pop-culture references, the SHites have run it into the ground. If you’d like to see the original skit, here it is: (FWIW, Christopher Walken’s earnestness and Will Ferrell’s too-tight shirt never fail to give me a smile. YRMV.)

Ok, I never saw the SNL skit. So that's where they picked it up from. It can go on the list of other phrases they beat like a dead horse.

If you’d like to see the original skit, here it is: (FWIW, Christopher Walken’s earnestness and Will Ferrell’s too-tight shirt never fail to give me a smile. YRMV.) Shit. In high school, after we repeated Anchorman and Napoleon Dynamite quotes until they lost all meaning, attention turned to old Will Ferrell skits. "More cowbell" indeed. The senior performance, which always lampooned the teachers, was done as a Celebrity Jeopardy skit.
We kinda have the gag here where we repeat stupid shite quotes like "first one I thought of" but I guess the difference is that there doesn't seem to be any subtext when they poat it. It's just "oh, a cowbell joke would be a hilarious reply. I can't wait to type it!" sorta deal. Just like Arnie Grove poats. There's nothing clever about it, nothing original or creative. The threads are worse off for such replies.
