Also love that he has a Bowie avatar when he obviously hates everything Bowie liked (read any article about the making of Blackstar and it goes into detail about how much Bowie loved Kendrick Lamar in his last year on earth). Of course, he strikes me as the type who doesn't like anything after Aladdin Sane because after that was when he started having black musicians and diversifying his sound beyond rock, given his hatred for electronic music and music made by black musicians etc...
I get some serious alt-right issues with him regarding hip hop.
Literally... most white soccer dad's his age are the ones who have loved hip hop since grade school. A 39 year old was literally six when Walk This Way got big, they don't literally remember a time when hip hop wasn't a big deal. He's like the 60 year old Perry Como fan who hates "long hair hippie garbage"
He's from Spain. Europe is severely fucked up right now.
Case in point: Italian soccer league Serie A and their anti-racism campaign.
Whoever wrote the article doesn’t understand what Calcio means to Italia. You would have to understand Italian Culture to get why they’re doing this.
It’s not that they’re trying to be blatantly racist, they’re super passionate and making a political point using Calcio. They’re very protective over their land. It not really about color, they don’t like outsiders unless you accept their way of life. “When in Rome”. Therefore, unless you can speak Italian or have some Italian heritage, they keep you at a distance. However, the minute they find out you speak a little “frasi” and dig on their culture, they’ll treat you like one of their own. (Black or white.) Recent times, they had to allow immigration and it’s been a disaster for them. Normally, there’s not a lot of violent crime over there, when it does occur it’s usually mafia thugs hitting other thugs. However, since immigration violent crimes are starting to increase. It’s not Italians doing it...

Si vous n’avez pas évolué en matière de comportement depuis les années 30, alors que presque tout le reste de l’Europe, y compris mon propre pays, a progressé, la responsabilité vous en incombe peut-être, plus que le statut sacro-saint du football.
Hoffman does a great job - that's why he's revered in the biz.

David Bowie voice change
I was just listening for 4654685th time "The man who sold the world" album and I was thinking how could he ch-ch-change his voice so radically in just two years or so. Listen this album or Hunky Dory and then listen Sweet thing from Diamond dogs or Aladdin Sane the song. Amazing, isn't?
On a more serious note, didn’t he base his singing voice on that of Anthony Newley? I’m guessing it was around 1970.

"Somebody must say it” could be the motto of the Hoffman Forum.
"I must say though, artists like Kurt or Thelonious Monk who people think have something to say of the highest importance but are really just suicidal or insane sort of freak me out. Why? Well, everyone thought Monk was really "out there" but they followed his lead and jazz changed. Turns out he really was insane and was finally locked up. Does that mean that the jazzers were wrong to follow him? No, but still." - STeVE
