Thank god for the white man for making Aretha's music palatable for Sear, if only for one song.
(It's not even a particularly remarkable solo from Clapton either.)

He doesn’t seem to be around as much as he used to be. Was a time, when he had that Space Oddity avatar, where it felt every other thread was started by him. I can’t see some sections of that place so maybe he’s elsewhere, pumping out polls. He poats in the Soul Food thread, a safe space in the Long And Winding Threads forum.
He's a total sad sack now, newly single and bitter, and just feeds off the other forum members' reassurances that he's not all that bad.
It's quite a thread. Imagine a sub-basement level of SHF, populated by poaters too dumb to make it in the public forums, with even worse taste in music.

Name one particular remarkable solo post-Cream?

Name one particular remarkable solo post-Cream? Let it Rain, but that's probably the only one.

I fucking hate Eric Clapton, but I (very grudgingly) like his playing on The Pros And Cons of Hitchhiking by Roger Waters. Good solo on the title track.

Name one particular remarkable solo post-Cream? Change that to post-71 and you won't need more than two hands to count 'em all.

Clapton did have a very good 1970 until heroin and his own ego/stupidity drained him of all life. Recommended: the pre-LP Dominos single and King Curtis's "Teasin'."

Hardcore Post Punker ends up less edgy and more unadventurous than carlwm.
