Damn. I had my own straw man argument and a couple of false equivalencies but forgot them. It's been a long day.

Is Plastic Bertrand in yet? You mean Lou Deprijck? Belgian producer Deprijck actually wrote and sung the whole track, a punk parody that he released under the alias Plastic Bertrand. When it became a hit, it implied touring and promoting the song, so Deprijck, who looked anything but punk and preferred to stay behind the scenes, cast a different guy to play the part and be the face of "Plastic Bertrand". As a matter of fact, it was Deprijck who sang all the vocal parts on Bertrand's first four albums. And The La's won't get in the RnR HoF for a good reason: Cast.

And The La's won't get in the RnR HoF for a good reason: Cast. I didn’t want to be the one to say it...

Back when Music Choice featured "facts" on the channel, they said that Seals & Crofts were members of The Knickbockers. That band did record a song or two they wrote, but that's it. Music Choice was also good claims such as The Beatles cover the Locomotion and the Allman Brothers released an album called "The High Cost Of How I'm Living" (actually "The High Cost Of Low Living"!!) Maybe gnrat worked for them.

Why is Mario Mendoza not in the baseball hall of fame? Isn't he in as an influence? Where would we be without the Mendoza Line? That alone should be enough to get him in.

From Wikipedia, it looks like they’ll never die: “ In December 2010 the bandmates' daughters Juliet Seals and Amelia Crofts, along with Genevieve Dozier, daughter of Seals and Crofts engineer Joey Bogan, formed a musical trio called The Humming Birds.” And then: “ In 2018 Brady Seals (Jim's cousin) and Lua Crofts (Dash's daughter) began touring as Seals and Crofts 2, performing the catalog of Seals and Crofts, as well as some new music.”
