Brilliant new AlexPop thread: Pick one album by bands /singer-songwriters.
WTF is wrong with this guy? Some people are worth putting on ignore because they are racist boomers, but others should be put on ignore just because every single thing they type is wasted time you would simply lose by reading. He should rent out the giant empty space in his head on AirBnB.

Yeah, except all the stuff on that album done at Abbey Road.
Fucking chowder head.
I’m pretty sure Les Paul did a shitload of stuff at home.

All the jazz recorded by RVG was in his house, does that count?
What about Music From Big Pink?

I honestly thought all that stuff was indeed a home "demo"! Lovely Linda, That Would Be Something, Valentine Day, and Momma Miss America were all done solely at home.
Junk, Singalong Junk, Teddy Boy, and Oo You were started at home and finished at Morgan Studios.
Kreen Akrore and Hot As Sun/Glasses were recorded solely at Morgan Studios.
Maybe I'm Amazed, Man We Was Lonely, and Every Night were done at EMI.

Thank you! I suppose I was still pretty young when I originally heard that. I think we can agree that it's really just a "demo" album with a good single on it.

If you had the Music Choice channels as part of your cable package, you might have been exposed to some glorious false "facts." In fact, I believe this company is actually ground zero for misinformation. But seriously, their "facts" were very often totally wrong. One was that the beatles covered the Locomotion. Another mentioned an Allman Brothers Band album but totally mangled the title. And one "fact" was that McCartney AND RAM were home recordings.
Whatever database they used to generate album art and song titles also would mess up sometimes, like when Hey Jude would come up as being from the bootleg Not Guilty, or playing Anthology tracks and crediting them to the original albums (which would at least break something and not display the artwork.) They would also feature pics of the artists, often having the sides of the pic stretched to fit the full screen. I assume they had no right to display these copyrighted pics and the current music channels do not use any.

I DO remember MC! I used to discover a lot of good stuff on those channels!
TBH, I can't really be certain where I heard that. It has been years and years. My mom had a copy of it, and after listening to it, my consensus was that the Beatles were so big that one of them could throw anything on tape and it would sell. But now I know the rest of the story.

Besides, if a guy has a $5,000,000 studio in his 12,000 square foot house, it’s hardly Nebraska.
