This one defiantly deserves a thread. They are in red alert over there that's for sure. I just posted this in an other thread
The right wing SHite nutbags will blame Obama for this. They are bitching about California's strict environmental guidelines that will prohibit another plant emerging from the ashes. I think there are nervous crazed wackos over there that are thinking about getting loans or cashing in stock or selling there first born to purchase vinyl records before the apocalypse happens.

If anyone has a burner account you wish to sacrifice, can you respond to this poat with “I have a friend who works at Amazon, and he says Jeff Bezos wants to get out of the vinyl business because of people abusing the return system”? I think it would add a whole new layer of dread to their pathetic lives.

I also like how Hoffman, who has zero connection to anything, is acting the grave, grieving professional with so much at stake. As if. Fucktard #2. Not only does he have zero connection to anything, he has zero connection to the process in the discussion. He has never cut a vynyl rekkid and couldn't even if someone held a gun to his vag neck. Fucking dickhead.

I do not like to see someone’s business destroyed due to any reasons. This selfish outpouring of the SHiTes and the “what are we going to do now?” mentality is pathetic, even for them. If this puts a dent into record producing then so be it. If the market is truly there then someone will come in and take over, or the owners will find a way to rebuild. 95% of what these crybabies are whining about would be reissues of yet another version of an album they already own multiple copies of anyway. Can’t these people be worried more about real pressing matters, like why did Andy Griffith bypass a Mayberry reboot and accept Matlock instead? (See visual arts page for that discussion.)

The situation is now so dire that clandestine meth labs are being repurposed to produce lacquer instead.

This is the point where SHites ignorance of how things work really shines. Rich people spend money for two reasons: vanity or to make more money. Vinyl lacquers aren’t sexy. They aren’t high tech. It’s not something the wife can brag about to her country club friends. Yes, I know, SHites think vinyls are the hippest shit but from my admittedly brief time arm’s length from the 1%, if these people even have a stereo, it’s gathering dust. They’ll hire the band to play their back yard, not mess with something as tweakyAs vinyl. To the opportunity point, the alleged vinyl revival has been going for at least a decade. That something like this could happen hasn’t been a secret. (I knew it, and I’m hardly an insider.) Yet, no one has stepped up. There’s been motion on the pressing side (even though long time plant Rainbo closed recently) but the only stuff I’ve heard relating to this has been trying to find alternatives to this method. I can’t even imagine someone with more money than god who considers them selves hip trying to get into this area. It’s got to be close margins at best and it’s not something when you brag people know what the hell you‘re talking about. They’ll be more likely to get the Scientologists to come off some DMM gear than finding their sugar daddy. (Also loved the lack of awareness for biching about “RSD pressings of Top Gun” when the SHites crave their Bellman cuts of dollar bin boomer BS.)

Some ultraprick called Tim2 (never heard of him) offers this sage input:
Meanwhile, there's some company called Murfie that stored your CDs for you and allowed you to stream the contents, but it's just gone belly up and no one's getting their wares back. While Jeff Bezos is definitely not contemplating saving the vinyl industry, the guy who's got all the CDs is sorted for life according to hvbias:
How are these people so fucking dim?

Some entrepreneur bought the entire Murfie warehouse and its contents for $8000. He intends on continuing the service after moving all of the CDs to his storage building in Arkansas.
