I wished the Milk & Honey material had remained unreleased so that the Threetles could have finished it in the 90s. They would have worked with professionally recorded material, not a crummy cassette, and those songs would have been fleshed out much better.beatleroadie said:
So much more could have been done with John's Milk & Honey tracks, TBH. Certain ones given to other artists, etc, so we'd have had a decent stream of finished, great sounding Lennon material every now and then through the 80s and 90s.I think "Borrowed Time" should have been given to Stevie Wonder or Elton John to finish, using John's vocal like a duet. Someone like Bowie or Brian Ferry could have done something interesting with "Forgive Me (My Little Flower Princess)" sampling some of John's vocals but reshaping the song so it's complete, etc. "Nobody Told Me" and "I Don't Wanna Face It" just scream Beatles reunion tracks, if those tapes were handed to Paul, George and Ringo in the early 80s. Let Paul or Ringo sing "Grow Old with Me" with real production, too. John's demo could be the b-side....Let Julian finish and sing "Stepping Out" alongside his dad as a single...But no, Yoko, used John's untouched Double Fantasy outtakes to sell her EP of new material...Just my 2 cents.
But I'm off topic.
I really am curious about Sean's comments about studio chatter...What studio chatter is going to be included at the beginning and ending of songs? Which songs? I'm guessing Angel Baby and Whatever Gets You Through the Night (perhaps Elton and John cutting up?) both have some studio snippets at the top.
