Well, well, well.. 5 Million $ in damages, over a CD that sold 300 copies at best!
It really shows what kinda of a small-time rat Marsha was in the music biz, unlike Mike Curb.

What a load. I have no idea how this played out, but my money is on Marsha never seeing a fucking dime out of this spurious nonsense.

“Someone named Steve Hoffman”... For some reason, this amused me quite a bit.

I met Sam (that's what I called him) when I was on a field trip to CBS Television City in 1972. He was there to film his appearance on All in the Family. I asked Carroll if I could stop by backstage and say hi. At any rate, when I saw him having coffee at Jerry's Deli in 1988, he said "STeVE, you are one hep cat, I want you to remix and remaster my greatest hits". Neat! I also told him he should stop smoking and get that cough checked out. Yikes.

“Someone named Steve Hoffman”... For some reason, this amused me quite a bit. I enjoyed that too. I mean, random French record store clerks were falling all over themselves in the 1980s when STeVe was whipping out his Diners Club card (“Ze Steve Hoofman?! Sacre bleu, please take all zees Shadows 10” vinyles!”) so you just know that “someone named” really stung.

“Someone named Steve Hoffman”... For some reason, this amused me quite a bit. I came back around to respond to this, too. "Someone named StEvE HoffMAN" SOMEONE??? We're talking mega major big time mover and shaker sTEvE Hoffman! Someone? What a fucking insult! The same "someone" who has been a part of every single major historical event of note since 1951? The same someone who walked into a major market radio station, sight unseen, and hung with every single rock and country star? Who stirred the sound of the stations? Who rubbed elbows with every single person, glitterati, jet set hob knobbers known to man? Someone??? Fucking SOMEONE!?!?!? Without stevE Hoffman, the fucking SUN wouldn't rise in the morning, pal! Pff. "Someone". What a noob.

“Someone named Steve Hoffman” should be the line under the “All About Steve” heading on the main page.
You’re such a big shot, uh STeVe?

I also like how Hoffman is "an employee of DCC." For some reason, I always had the feeling that it was a partnership with Marsha. I wonder who would lead me to believe something like that?

STeVE was mentioned in some DCC CD reviews in the LA Times as a " remixer who removes the hiss and pops from old music."

STeVE was mentioned in some DCC CD reviews in the LA Times as a " remixer who removes the hiss and pops from old music." This one has a double whammy of pointing out “Hoffman’s tiny office” AND pointing out MCA had lost Holly’s master tapes.
