Classic SHite ramblings from folks with way too much time to ponder the deep and meaningless: forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/33rpm-and-45rpm.722671/"I've been researching this topic on the forum but still have a question. To my ears a 45RPM 12" single will sound better than the same song on LP. All the usual criteria apply, such as bass punch, treble extension and clarity, etc etc. However, I'm discovering that I often find the same track on LP is more engaging and enjoyable. This is not because of the way they sound (i.e. warmer), but something musical. The 45RPM singles often seem somewhat stiff and/or the rhythm is not so good, by comparison." What the fuck?

So if the LP track has less treble, bass, punch and clarity, it will pretty much sound like a Hoofman remasturbation right?
That explains why it's more engaging and enjoyable, pal. Another win for STeVE!

Another win for STeVE! Eureka! That's it. It sounds like it was treated to STeVE's magical "subtractive eq." Or whatever the hell he calls it.

I evaluate audio in terms of murk and goosh only. Works for me.

Murk in the left channel. Goosh in the right.
Steve Hoofman, ladies and gentlemen. Love your Daddy.

Huh. Usually their complaint about 45 rpm is that they have to stand and walk to flip the record over. Who can manage that 3 or 4 times in the same day?

I am sure some of the shortcomings in sound this SHite is experiencing, can be managed simply by swapping in $2000 soild core cables, sprinkled with Hoofman man spackle.

Some of the SHiTES seem so far gone with premature senility/dementia they could probably play their 45s at 33 speed and would never know the fucking difference!
