Ticket prices!
Forum resident RonBaker says:
“High ticket prices keep fans from buying tickets. I stopped going to Coldplay concerts or McCartney concerts because of ticket prices. I can support local music and be just as happy.”
I have a way to be even happier.
STOP LISTENING TO FUCKING COLDPLAY’

But seriously, the only concerts I saw in 2017 were Mysticum, Church Of Misery, and Celsea Wolfe.
Because you know, they still make music that is somewhat relevant. Didn't cost much either.

I never payed for McCartney gigs because McCartney is utter shite. Actually, the old man puts on a pretty entertaining show. I've seen men less than half his age just mailing it in on stage, but McCartney was still going strong even after two hours. Saw him back in 1990, and that show sucked. So, some twenty years later, I wasn't expecting too much. But, the guy surprised me and made going to the show worthwhile. It erased the negative image I'd been carrying around for two decades. Still, this was nearly 8 years ago, so I don't know if a 70-something McCartney is as competent as a 60-something one. YRMV, but I'm happy I gave him a second chance.

That could be true. I really wouldn't know. I've never been a a fan of either the Beatles or whatever their members did afterwards. To be honest, I think most 60's and 70's "rawk" is utter shite.
I'm just so edgy.

This was probably the best thing that came out of the sixties:

I'm just so edgy. I'm usually careful not to admit my own taste in music 'round these parts, because much of it is kind of SHitey. That being as it is, I'm definitely not a so-called "McCartney scholar". I like his first solo LP, a smattering of songs from 1971 through 1982, but "Tug of War" was the last of his LPs I could even list a song or two from. [The good reviews "Electric Arguments" got did lead me to buy that album. I actually enjoyed it, which is why I decided to see him live in 2010.] In interviews, McCartney can be somewhat full of himself, and his penchant for constantly proselytizing vegetarianism is a bore. But, be that as it may, the dude is a hell of a showman. While playing most of his hits, he also pulled off a few surprises, and gave everyone their money's worth.

That's cool. Like I said, I really have no idea. You'll get no hate from me, I accept my ignorance of the matter.

I think most if not all of us have some degree of SHiteness to us. Why else would we be here?
That said I still think McCartney is a vacuous twat.
I would only go and see him if it was a double bill of McCartney and retard son Jimmy.
James opens with a 30 minute set of his original rocktastic, sonic delights.
Paul does a rip-roaring 60 minute set of 70's solo and Wings classics.
After a 20 minute interval Paul and James come on stage together to do 2hrs of Beatard covers before ending on a 20 minute Frog Song.
They come back for the encore with guest star Father Time and play a 15 minute cover of Argent's God Gave Rock and Roll To You.
Pure bliss

Maybe McCartshite would be more relevant if he disn’t just olay that one shitty “hey Jude” song everytime he’s on TV. It drones on and on and just seems a lazy way to let the audience sing the song for him. Bring back the Frog Chorus if that’s your game.

My SHite credentials hold up, as I loved Macca and Wings when I was a kid in the 70s. Unfortunately my SHite qualifications dropped because I continued to find and enjoy newer music after age 12. Just like Susan, I went to see a crap McCartney concert in 1990, though I never went back. I see he does a better list of songs now but it's way too much $$ when I recall how shitty all those Beatle songs sounded with his still-employed synth guy doing all the horns and strings. Now can a gort move my poat to the Inner Shite section? Thanks.
