I don't insist on validation. Any resemblance of this is just shrapnel of my belief in myself which I'm totally fine with and ain't gonna apologize for.

Nobody cares, but Scoot is much less shitty than rfreeman. In his inept way he actually has some childlike grasp of a pop hook, plus it's better to err on ridiculous than boring. There's a lot of guys making music more competently (not rfreeman, he doesn't have any basic talent AND he's a smug hack), who aren't even worth listening to for the pisstake because it's all so generic it may as well be white noise.
At least you remember Scoot's songs. Also, he cares enough to keep doing it, so I respect that as a musician who can't get off my arse.
Anyway Scott, is that radio show you made counting down your own greatest guitar solos still on YouTube? That was hilarious. I skipped to number one and it was fucking dreadful, how bad were numbers 2-50?

Scoot fits the mold of the classic Outsider musician, like Daniel Johnston or R. Stevie Moore, only a lot less talented.

I will go out on a limb and state that, in my considered opinion, what all decent rock music shares in common is that it does not wallow in endless self-pity. (And, contrary to what misinformed idiots state, neither Joy Division nor Nirvana trafficked in pity.) Roger Waters has done alright under the circs.

I've always considered Pink Floyd the original emo band.

Rock doesn't want saving. That's what makes it rock.

Either CSNY or Nirvana are America's greatest ever band

I can barely tell the difference between the two.

I can barely tell the difference between the two. One had a member who is about to release an album that is going to be the nadir of his career. The other has a guy from The Hollies in it.

Someone must’ve derailed it enough for the thread to have been zapped. Maybe it was the Negative Talent song that did it. Every thread he starts gets zapped. Because every thread is a ridiculous premise. LMAO

That was lame of them to shut it down. I posted it and came back 3 hour later to read it and I guess it didn't fulfill the haughtiness requirement.

Scoot’s got better things to do than answer questions and revisit threads he started.

That was lame of them to shut it down. I posted it and came back 3 hour later to read it and I guess it didn't fulfill the haughtiness requirement. First can I say, I get your urge to create music and don't think you are doing it as some kind of vanity project. It makes much more sense to me than why you are bothering with those kind of threads. It' isn't that I have a hard trouble understanding why someone would be that into CSNY. I mean in terms of output, to me at best you're talking about a couple of albums worth of nice harmonies / arrangements and chord progressions marred by dated hippy bollocks. But if you think otherwise, then that's just fine. There are far worse choices. It's more that it's not clear what are you hoping for with that kind of thread title and other similar ones. Do you want someone to come along and validate your opinion, have a discussion or what? What outcome were you expecting from it?
