I'm not catalog on Joe Jackson, though I like him, but how the fuck did classicrockmoron pick what I think is a relative obscurity and then not recognize one of his better-known songs? This guy's dumb as dirt. Good point, well made. And thanks for reminding me of SHiTes’ weird use of the word catalog.

Tullman:
I am wondering about the appearance. RTI pressed super vinyl is transparent. The Fidelity pressing I have is not transparent and looks like a standard record.
DeanoBee replies:
I received the Ladies of the Canyon One-Step today and it is the new formulation of SuperVinyl, so only semi-transparent at best with that milky grey appearance when held to the light. Certainly not the formula from the past One-Steps.
No mention of sound quality, just vinyl opacity. That whole Joni Mitchell mofi thread is a shitshow: Scat-Wrangler is all over it just to remind everyone what a passive-aggressive asshole he can be.

Yeah, a very odd take. I never did figure out exactly what he was saying.

Wasn't "Disco Demolition Night" a bunch of drunk young white people (that if they are still alive are hardcore MAGAts) that hated disco mainly due to racism and homophobia? I don't think it had much, if anything, to do with power pop besides that 1979 was the heyday of power pop on the mainstream charts.

Yes, clueless with some very out there takes. Saying that basically no power pop existed between The Knack and Green Day when that time span contains classic after classic.

They went from barely posting over the last decade or so to posting quite a bit over the last few weeks.

I only listen to rock, especially prog rock, like Yes and Pink Floyd.
