One that doesn't vote in idiots every election and invade every country with even a drip of oil ! Pipe down, you live in a country led by a sentient bag of rancid custard with an overwhelming parliamentary majority. So, Jimmeh lives in the UK? And he’s railing about Trump? Good lord! (No wonder he ignored my inquiries.)

So once again, I'm politically homeless. I'm stuck with either four more years of the Fascist buffoon or a Republican lite ticket in its place. Times being what they are, I'm surprised/not surprised Joe picked a cop for a VP. Once again, the left got screwed. We're fucking doomed.

Yeah but the more obsessive left think Joe Biden is some lord and saviour. when any fuck with a brain cell can see he's a useless doddering old creep. America is truly fucked regardless of a Trump or Biden win.
People that defend Joe Biden or Trump are as bad as them. It is rather like the people that defended Hitler even with his obvious flaws.

I don't think the left are obsessed with Biden at all. Over on Twitter, progressive left media are being called racists/sexists for not soiling themselves over the Democratic ticket. It's the establishment Dems that are obsessed-the Biden/Harris ticket is a wet dream for the neo-libs. I think it's hilarious that Trump is painting Biden as some sort of Marxist who sympathizes with Antifa. If only that were true. While I definitely think Trump is worse than Biden, I sometimes think "the left" want to downplay how bad Biden (and Harris') record is because Trump. Oh well, I guess that makes me a burn the house down guy. It's going to burn either way. The only time I feel like I have something to vote for is during the primaries. I'm so fucking sick and tired of only having something to vote against during the general elections.

The problem with being anything other than center left in the US (which is really just a Reagan Republican that's Pro Choice), is that we seem to have no understanding that if we stick together, we can get things to change more quickly. We let this shit happen by not sticking together and understanding that this takes time and we have given up ground for decades. Now it looks like we're gonna bitch that Bernie isn't our guy and there isn't gonna be 60 Senate seats easily won by Democratic Socialists. We just don't get out and vote and when we support politicians we generally support people that are way too far left for the general public to handle, then we don't stick togehter anyway and then come voting time, we stay home because we don't get what we want.
We'll go march and send letters, but we don't vote. We'll support some dopey Green candidate that can't decide what they are because that party won't start at the local level, they think they'll just start with a president and it will all trickle down. I think the Green party is a bunch of people that figured out a way to get rich in politics without having to make any real decisions or do any real work.
Biden/Harris isn't my first choice. They'll do things that will directly benefit me and people I know (what's left of the middle class and the working poor), so I'm voting for them. They can be moved further left if we stick together, but we won't. We'll just bitch. I just hope we vote for them this time, because if we don't the country will be broke by the time Trump is done and Social Security and Medicare will be gone. So I'll become one of those people that has to work until they die.
Jimmeh, your wonderful government can step up and become the world leaders in anything they want whenever they want. Unless they're even dumber than Trump, which seems to be your problem.

My government are only relevant to the issues in my country though. America has a serious issue with racism (that is so casual) and policing. It doesn't even compare.
America need to let go of the gun laws also, that shit is just weird.

Written by Jonathan Freedland just after the 2019 defeat. For the last four years, Labour has been in thrall to the notion that it’s better to have a manifesto you can feel proud of, a programme that calls itself radical, than to devise one that might have a chance of winning. Some even argued that, “win or lose”, Corbyn achieved much simply by offering a genuinely socialist plan – in contrast with Labour’s 1997 offer, which was so boringly modest and incremental. Well, guess what. Labour’s “radical” manifesto of 2019 achieved precisely nothing. Not one proposal in it will be implemented, not one pound in it will be spent. It is worthless. And if judged not by the academic standard of “expanding the discourse”, but by the hard, practical measure of improving actual people’s actual lives, those hate figures of Corbynism – Tony Blair and Gordon Brown – achieved more in four hours than Corbyn achieved in four years. Why? Because they did what it took to win power. www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/dec/13/corbynism-labour-left-party

Nobody is going to move Biden to the left. He's been in politics for 50 years and he is who he is. He already said that if Medicare for All was passed in the House and the Senate, he would veto it as President. Besides, once someone has gotten in line and cast a vote for him, he has no motivation for moving to the left. The MSM has been lecturing the progressive left to "work together" for years. But they waste no opportunity at cutting down the movement. MSNBC goes after Bernie Sanders just as much as Trump, even when he works his ass off to get Hillary and Joe elected. I have no faith that if Sanders was the nominee-hell or if Yang or Gabbard were the nominee, they would still be on the "we need to work together" narrative. Meanwhile, the Overton window keeps shifting further and further to the right. I guess we can sweep the racism under the rug for at least four more years, so that's one good thing....but just crumbs for most of us.

Dear Euros, please refrain from pointed commentary on US politics. With each poat you reveal your complete ignorance of the realities of a country that is so much larger and diverse than you can imagine.
