Apart from Marsha Brownstain, who else had employed Hoffman since the advent of the internet/Google (when Stevie-boy’s MCA-era shenanigans could more easily be discovered)? Okay, I'll play. And the answer is no one (noone in SHiTEtalk). Zero. Zip. No one else has employed the asshole. The stuff he worked on post DCC and pre Audio Fidelity was always in tandem with another (actual/real) engineer, usually Kevin Gray. What do I win?

You win a peaceful night’s sleep, knowing that Hoffman will NEVER get anywhere close to a Beatles master tape. You can rest easy with the knowledge that the taste of sour grapes will be forever be on STeVE’s tongue when it comes to that group.

I can't remember the name of the movie he claimed he found lost articles for but then when uncredited somehow. Blade Runner?
Edit: yep, Blade Runner. That's where the WB tie in is from that I remember. The director's cut.

Hasn't sKeev repeatedly claimed he has heard the Beatles master tapes in person? I don't see how that's even possible. Add it to the big stack of bullshit he claims.

I can't get from point A to point B on how he would be invited somewhere to hear them, and why they would be played in the first place. Does he not think of this shit beforehand or...?

He doesn't have to think about his lies making any sense. It's been proven time and time again that "his" forum will swallow whole anything he says.

Once they saw his ID (OMG the REAL Steve Hoofman!) they just gave him the tapes and he carried them lovingly under his arm back to his basement.

At one point years ago in a now deleted thread STeVe claimed that a very close friend of his possessed the only known completed unedited preview print of the Wizard of Oz. Of course only Steev saw “The Jitterbug,” the missed return to Oz scene, various deleted spots. How did the guy get a print? MGM left it behind after a preview and the guy’s dad grabbed it - been in possession since. Nitrate film and all - yikes! (I believe we have it documented here or others mentioning they remember that from the old SC.)

Wasn’t there something too about A Star Is Born, the private copy of the full version that a collector won’t share with the guy in charge of the WB archives as he didn’t feel sufficiently thanked for another movie he helped restoring?

MGM left it behind after a preview and the guy’s dad grabbed it - been in possession since. Nitrate film and all - yikes! (I believe we have it documented here or others mentioning they remember that from the old SC.) I once documented Hoffman bragging about his personal copy of Wizard of Oz. (It’s in that “Ever-Evolving Tall Tales” thread.) Sadly, no mention of the Jitterbug scene in any of these: In a different thread, someone brought up STeVE going on about The Wizard of Oz. STeVE bragging about owning a film copy of the movie is something he’s done a number of times. Let’s see how his story has changed through the years: Dec. 12, 2006: Sure looked good. They had the (rare) common sense on TNT to preserve the correct aspect ratio of the movie although I am sure they were itching to spread it all the way across the way they like to do. Urggh. At any rate, it looked fab! We have an IB Technicolor 35mm print of the movie and trust me, this broadcast looked right up there. Hope some of you caught it.. So, it looks like STeVE still had his print in 2006. Let’s jump ahead to 2011: Sep. 28, 2011: The Red Shoes restoration. It kept a lot of the glow of the original Technicolor show print. Please keep in mind that Technicolor itself (the Tech "standard") was ever changing. In a 1939 release print of OZ you are going to see more of a yellow tinge. In the 1955 final theatrical reissue before CBS print it's more blue. My 1949 print still had the look of 1930's Technicolor.Lovely film, The Wizard Of Oz. You realize it was a box office flop when it was issued in 1939, right? Victor Fleming was a very good and underrated director. When he left the set to take over GWTW, Mervin LeRoy directed some of the best scenes (retakes) and King Vidor did the sepia stuff. As mentioned in an earlier thread, I had the honor in school to meet many cast members and crew members who actually worked on the movie. Now, sadly, all gone. Uh, oh... “ Had the look”...? Was STeVE forced to sell his beloved 1949 print of TWOO sometime between 2006 and 2011? Let’s jump ahead a few more years: Nov. 29, 2015: I used to own a British Technicolor print of THE WIZARD OF OZ, struck in 1955. No digital version will do anything for me. Spoiled. Even though I don't have the print anymore, I'm ruined. What? STeVE’s 1949 print became a 1955 (British) print? Magical happenings like this are a regular occurrence in STeVE’s life. I’m just thrilled he has made it his mission to share with us the details of his fantastical existence. (I’m sure Daddy has brought up owning an original print of TWOO more than just the three times listed here. Please poat other examples if you can.)

It was a discussion on his forum one day and the next just gone - poof, disappeared like magic. Hasn’t Steev also claimed to know someone who has a print of A Star Is Born with all the deleted scenes still included that when reassembling the remastered version the studio had to use stills since the audio survives but the film doesn’t? I know I’ve read where someone out there claims to have the film and I thought it was Steev. How is it this happens to only Judy Garland films and STeVe?

I didn’t see this comment before I responded to Susan but yes, there is some Steev connection to all this somehow, too. Imagine being Steev, so privy to so much Hollywood history yet a total sack of shit that no one wants around. Amazing, isn’t it?
