I do realize that massive turd didn't do any long term damage, but it put it made it hard to admit to Beatles-fandom in public for minute or two...
Is there an English translation to this? Anyone?

With awareness of how lame it is, the SHite in me feels validation when the music I championed in its time still appears relevant; all the Talking Heads interest and activity last year certainly warmed my Gen X heart, and I love seeing my aunt post on Facebook about the Grateful Dead and their continued popularity. I had moved on from the Fabs by age 13, and even I think it's cool (to a degree) how they provoke enough interest 55 years later that some producer is investing in a 4-feature-film deep dive. The films might suck -- they probably will seeing as I can't think of a single musician biopic I like apart from cheese like The Doors -- but who cares?

I'm always open to seeing a biopic about the Fabs. Where's the harm? It's just entertainment for fucks sake. Some folks just can't deal withanything.

Maccawings is so unapologetically dense. But, his weight aside, he's also stupid.

If these 4 films actually make it to completion (which is still questionable to me): I am just curious how they will market these 4 films and how they will release them? Will they be released simultaneously in movie theaters? Will they stagger them over the course of say 4 or 8 months (at a schedule of 1 film every month or every 2 months)? And if they stagger them, and the first one bombs (relatively speaking), how do they "save" the other films? Lots of unusual aspects to the idea of 4 films, and there likely will be more many potential pitfalls with 4 films to promote. NOTE: I likely won't be seeing these films. It's just not my cup of tea, and I have not seen any of the recent slew of music biopics. I much prefer documentaries when it comes to music films. However, I did see the Yesterday film (which isn't a biopic anyhow) on a plane flight. I did find it entertaining in a light-hearted way Not excited for this. I don't even get the concept. Are they going to be "origin stories" a la superhero films? Even so, there would have to be a plethora of duplicated information. Sounds like a nightmare to edit. And no Magic Alex: Rogue One? No sale. I have a feeling these films will not be very interesting, don’t we already have each’s perspectives on Anthology? I agree. Not sure what Apple wants to accomplish with this.

I'm not mad like the Shites but, to be honest, I'm not interested in these either. I remember sitting through "Nowhere Boy" ages ago and thinking that I'd heard these stories a thousand times. My opinion!

My opinion! Under what circumstances would they be happy? Name a director, they’d freak out. Name an actor(s) to play them, they’d freak out. Unless Steve plays Epstein and his clan of actors play the Beatles.

Somebody needs to make a bio pic about Mark David Chapman, just to piss the Beatards off...

That's awesome I had no idea. Wonder how many Hoffmanites sent death threats to the director/writers/producers/actors etc? After, most of them curl up in a fetal position if MDC's name is even invoked. Shit, his initials.

The pearl-clutching, shaking, and crying at the possibility of Black actors portraying their heroes would have been something to behold. And, from Nostalgist: "The Kardashian-infatuated Timothee Chalamet and Superbad-alum Jonah Hill are the best that casting directors can come up with nowadays?
Who's going to play Jane Asher? Sydney Sweeney? Hollywood is so far down the toilet at this point that biopics are only bested in rubbish by superhero drivel churned out ad nauseum.
I'm pretty sure I'm Not There was the last quality attempt at a biopic-type film (although it was akin to a docu). Capote was outstanding but not really a biopic at all. Walk the Line was quite good, but it had Joaquin Phoenix who wasn't just a supermodel baby face being force-fed down the public's throat as the new James Dean."
I guess Sydney Sweeney is to be wished into the cornfield for doing the Stones video. Not sure what Timothee Chalamet and Jonah Hill's sins against the Beatards are.
