Sue Butterworth? Really? That's the best he could come up with? What a first-class asshole. He considered Debbie Jemima but thought better of it.

You always remember clearly where you were when you first heard a song from Sgt. Pepper's and where you later got it. It just changes over time.

So Steve heard a cold start in 1967 yet Capitol never put the cold start on 67-70. Ever. I’m sure it wasn’t till the CD release that the cold start was first heard.
And with all the years of bootlegs has anyone ever heard a cold start?

Here in Louisville, AM stations WKLO and WAKY previewed ADITL several days before the album proper came out. It was faded in. I was in our groovy retro kitchen on neat old Camden Avenue the first time I heard it on our funky cool GE table radio. I had on a paisley shirt, desert boots and deck pants and was wearing Hai Karate. I was eating a Mallomar and drinking a yummy chocolate Great Shakes and playing with myself. Our chihuahua Sweet Pea was watching me. I wanted her to see.

The first time I ever heard it with a cold intro was on the Imagine: John Lennon soundtrack album, more than 20 years after Pencil Boy claims he heard it.

Who cares. I want to learn more about the golden age of clock radios. He's no Rick Beat-o but Techmoan is pretty neat-o.

"Too heavy". They just sit and collect dust! Who cares how heavy they are?
