Looks like the failure of Steve’s special secret project has hit hard and she’s taking it out on SHites sharing views on their minty new pressings, whoah, she is not in a good mood.

Only STeVe (and some of his wanky cronies) would pretend to know the sound of every single audio component ever made
But he is very catty today - it could be the failure of his special project or it could be an after effect of the lazy twat having to get up early on Saturday to be on set for 6:30am
...and he still hasn't valued that watch

Most of them just make that crap up anyway. I doubt that many people with $12,000 turntables give a shit what people on that message board think. They're busy with the kind of life that affords you the disposable income to spend more than most people spend on a car on a record player. I think they should have to provide a hearing test no more than one year old. Then when these nozzles bitch about a "bright" recording, we'll know that's just the constant 10K tinnitus buzz in their ears, or when some dim bulb says he hears more "attack" or "decay" now that he has new cables that he really can't hear anything over 8K and any differences he senses are just his refrigerator turning on and off in the next room.
They make a big deal about this, and the sole reason is to tell people at any price range that their system "isn't revealing enough." They all talk about how great the Andrew Jones designed budget speakers from Elac and Pioneer are, then when someone says they have them, they don't quite cut it. The same dumbasses that gladly fork over $400 to Tom Port for a copy of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours album actually want to pass judgement on your stereo.
Plus the huge contingent of people that think the vintage Klipsch speakers are decent. Jesus, they all have big, slow, one note woofers in a big, empty wood box with those horrible horn tweeters on them. It's great that they want to rattle their rafters with one watt of amplification, but it's not 1956 anymore.

. The same dumbasses that gladly fork over $400 to Tom Port for a copy of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours album actually want to pass judgement on your stereo. Not being an audiophile and not owning any physical product whatsoever has shielded me from a lot of perversities in life. Not having any clue as to who Tom Port is, I did a quick Google... www.better-records.com/Holy fucking shit. Now I have seen everything. Deja Vu by CSNY is on sale! Only $699 instead of $749 wtf $849 for Dark Side of the Moon?!?
Leftoverture is only $49?? Pretty crazy shit, and this guy has been at it for well over a decade... I wonder if anyone tries to insure their records? Just a Pink Floyd collection alone would cost nearly $20,000. "Yes, I would like to insure my record collection for seven million dollars please. Yes, I know records sell for five bucks each, but these are special records... No, they look identical to ordinary records..."

For $699 you could probably lease the master tape of Deja Vu. Provided you don't have form for stealing them, anyway.

Port's site used to say that you might not be able to re-sell or insure your records for what you're paying him for them. Could you imagine working for him? Listening to 20 copies of Aja in a day, just knowing that tomorrow you get listen to Alan Parson's Project all day? This is the type of silly crap that really bugs me. He used to say that just original, early pressings may or may not be the "magic" stampers, and you have to trust him and his shakti stones that he knows the best sounding records because he has listened to them all. How many copies of Dark Side of the Moon are there? 12 million? Let's be generous and say he and his cohorts have listened to 100,000 of them. Odds are good they haven't heard anywhere near the best one yet, and they never will. He's ripping off morons so I don't really care, though.
I like records and a decent stereo. I always have. What I don't like are people that act like things like 500 dollar power cables and 12,000 dollar hand wound cartridges are necessary to enjoy music, and if you don't do that then you can't enjoy it. That's crap. Guess what? Rega winds all their carts by hand. I've never seen how AT does it, but I bet it's by hand. AT makes so many that they can sound better at most price ranges than almost anyone. But you don't need that to enjoy music. Maybe you like cd's. That's great, too. I like cd's a lot. I'm not buying some kind of outboard DAC and transport to get 1's and 0's into my receiver, though.
As much as I like that stuff, Spotify has been one of the best things I ever did. It sounds great and they have almost anything I'd ever want to hear. If I were teenager just getting into music, I might find records fun, but Spotify would be my thing. Screw those "audiophiles." You shouldn't act like someone that likes streaming is doing something wrong, or if someone gets their kid an all in one system to get started is some kind of idiot. It's supposed to be about enjoying music.

CDs and digital. $500 will get you quite far in my collection.

Did I make you feel bad about your stereo? I'm a hypocritical dick, I know. I'm working on it, though. Not too hard, it's what makes me complex. I sincerely hope you have great fun with them, and that tubey goodness envelopes you in its warm glow. May you always be able to find three friends to help you move them whenever you need to rearrange your room.
