Okay, i’m adding Leslie West to my death pool list. He's been bad off for a while. What happened?

Okay, i’m adding Leslie West to my death pool list. He's been bad off for a while. What happened? Guess he was admitted to a hospital yesterday and is in a coma. The SHiTE vultures are hovering...

He's old and has been morbidly obese for decades but...was he a smoker?

I bought Mountain’s Nantucket Sleighride years ago because a friend raved about it. That song lasts forever and it’s boring as hell. I haven’t thought about it in 20 years and Spotify decided I should hear it the other day. It’s still fucking boring.

Never heard Mountain. But Leslie West plays guitar on one of The Who’s best outtakes.

I don’t think I’ve ever intentionally listened to Mountain.

I love '70s dirt rock, so I have a soft spot for a few Mountain tunes. If you subscribe to a streaming service, might I recommend the song Sitting On A Rainbow from their first album, Climbing? It's short, has all the dirt rock elements those that love them love them for and is short. Yeah, I know I said that twice, but I don't want you to think I'm recommending some coma-inducing (too soon?) side-length blooze jam.

Is he now playing bluesy butt rawk in heaven with the dirty bearded fat men from Canned Heat? Sorry. I am not au fait with the particulars of SHite theology. Maybe. I think I've given up on the whole Heaven idea.

I’m finally facing the realization that I’m a severe Anglophile. The majority of my favourite bands are from England or heavily influenced by English bands. Never dug any of the big 60s or 70s American bands. Never had any use for Mountain, Canned Heat, Grand Funk, BOC, The Band.

Jesus, Leslie West dies and no tribute from MyKKKe? Still no poats since 11/20 either. I’m getting worried.
