It's the worst news for the Cars since STeVE tried to remaster Heartbeat City.

Was this the sickly looking emaciated guy with the shades? I thought he died ten years ago.

"Natural causes" usually just means undisclosed medical condition, no? I think "no foul play" is the one that usually indicates something a bit more...

I really like the first two Cars album, and if you were there when they came out, they were a real breath of fresh air. They were a new band and they didn't just sound like more of what came before them (like Tom Petty). I never thought they'd become hugely popular because I thought they were too "new wave" for most people, but they actually pushed Classic Rock forward one last time. I think it's definitely worth mentioning the guy's passing. But he was 75. It's not like he didn't get a pretty good run. Plus, the dude looked like a chicken that morphed into a human and married Paulina Porizkova. I have a feeling his list of regrets is pretty short.

I wish Jeatles would let the guy rest in peace without his inane, moronic ramblings.

According to Wikipedia they don’t know if he was born in 1943 or 1944. How is that possible ? Oh man. This one hurts. A. Lot. Man........this one hurts. RIP Ric. So not cool. This one hits close to the bone. This one's a punch in the gut. Not what I needed. This really hurts. They all hurt to me. Even bands I don’t like & someone dies, someone is hurting somewhere. Rest in peace Ric. Wherever you go may you always be moving in stereo. Sunday Night Football just played a snippet of Let’s Go as bumper music. Coincidence? I just watched a T Mobile commercial with "Magic" in it. Could it be just coincidence that Paulina just divorced him and his house was up for sale? I didn’t know that his house was up for sale. I hope his separation from Paulina didn’t have anything to do with this ? That would make it extra sad RIP Now it’s not saying natural causes. Uh-oh. I hope this isn't a case of his wife regretting her decision. Where are you hearing this? They divorced last year after 28 years of marriage. I wonder if there is any correlation? He lied about his age. In true Carsy style. These things generally happen in 3's. Money, Ocasek...I don't think I can take another one so soon after these two. False news, I can still feel him. He was separated from Paulina... the NY cops said he was found in his apartment w/ no signs of foul play... I hate to jump to conclusions but this sounds like suicide. Horribly sad. "Natural causes" are weasel words. He died of something. He did die of something, but they’re saying it was natural and not from some external source. No drugs, no murder, no suicide and so forth. Well then say what it was. Cardiac arrest/heart attack? He was found dead less than 12 hours ago, Mr. CSI. How about a little dose of reality and empathy? Who's gonna drive him home? R.I.P. Going to be playing that song all night. Heartbreaking. Except that song features the late Benjamin Orr on lead vocals... Maybe you should look up who wrote that song and apologize. *sigh* Well, now we know who Eddie gave his other ticket to. Now we know who got Eddie Money's other ticket to paradise. "Natural causes" could mean anything. Wonder what it was. RIP

But the Cars were definitely of their time. The music hasn't aged well - I can't see myself sitting down to a Cars album.

Famous musician in his 70s dies of natural causes after leading a verry full life. It’s not a tragedy. It’s not “so young”. It’s not some conspiracy. Old people die. It happens. And 70s is old. Don’t see why it’s so hard to believe that.
