forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/ratio-of-men-and-women-audiophiles.733884/Started by our old pal William Bryant, he of the Messiah complex, now setting back male/female relations about a hundred years or so... The OP: "My guess, having been a salesman at a high-end store, having attending trade shows, and now enjoying the era of Internet audio forums, is that audiophiles are at least 99% men. Is my percentage inaccurate? and if not, why is this ratio so lopsided?" Good Christ...SHiTE "Maidenpriest" sez: "Good, too many things these days have to be equal, it nice to have something that is ours, a sanctuary where we can get away from women and their influences!!" "Dudley Morris", perpetuating stereotypes: "Women are into clothes and furnishings, men are into gadgets and activities that invite competition of some sort - both of which audiophilia embraces (buying and futzing with equipment, comparing and ranking pressings)." "That's true, although while they may not geek out to the extent they become experts of any sort, there are plenty of women who obsess over certain things, like adornments. Like, I'm sure many of us have at least one female friend who has a huge assortment of shoes, purses, etc, and regularly posts pics on Facebook of every new set they buy." And so on...

Women like useless shit like shoes, clothing, handbags, and jewelry.
Men like important, serious stuff like futzing with equipment and ranking album pressings.
At least when the apocalypse comes, the women will have clothes to wear. The men will be ranking album pressings naked.
Seriously, how do these guys ever even get wives in the first place? But we've been down this road before...
