I have about 100 records, a few handfuls of surround sound SACDs, and several of my favorite CDs in my living room. Pretty much all my CDs have been in boxes in the basement for the last 4 years, as they have been completely ripped to FLAC. I have no use for them taking up real estate anymore, but they're there in case I ever suffer catastrophic data loss.
I don't get why SHits care so much about CDs this day in age. If you want the artwork, get the LP. If you want the sound quality, go with FLAC for convenience. There is nothing to mourn about the death of CDs. It's just nostalgia raised to the autistic power.
Nostalgia for what? I'm not quite sure. Perhaps in their pathetic youth, their happiest memories were listening to CDs to fill the emotional void they felt by their inability to get laid.
