It's right there in fucking technicolor after La Marseillaise. It is hardly drowned out.

Abbey Road 50th Anniversary thread:

You can probably expect a load of Beatles 'insiders' to be completely wrong, then change the narrative to try and prove that they weren't actually wrong, you'd just misread what they'd said.
Indeed. Don't forget things/plans change.

Stampers do not go "out of alignment," and if they did, both sides would. They are physically locked into the press. The reason records sometimes come out off-centre is due to the vinyl distorting in shape as it cools.

First. Why would Abbey Road 50 be Giles last project. He is trusted and liked by Paul, Ringo and the estates of John and Paul.

They're already working on Let It Be 50, with the new documentary commissioned to Peter Jackson as he's supposed to show the world that The Beatles didn't have a miserable time working on that particular project.

Come on Ron, the Abbey Road 50th thread needs you and your "insider" information.

And he begins:
"It is frustrating being an insider or knowing trusted people involved. I was one of those people and in some ways I'm glad you and Mike are carrying the torch now. Of course, it's beyond silly that Apple would be upset or that there will be fallout over a leaked track list."
Frustrated that you knew fuck all?
"Sadly, Yoko is not in possession of all of the best-sounding Dakota demos. Tapes stolen and subsequently released on bootleg; including excellent fidelity versions of Now & Then, Real Love, Free As A Bird and Grow Old With Me. It's a damn shame these four songs ( and many others) aren't in Yoko's tape library in better fidelity. Ron"
Has Steeeve got them?

My contact at Apple/UMe lives in Canada. You don’t know them. oh yeah? Well my dad works for Apple. Oh YEAH? Well my friend has a sister who used to go out with a guy who had a cousin who knew somebody that once worked for a dude that had a friend who delivered a pizza this one time to an office that was located in a different building but was in the same block as an office supply company that once gave a referral to the Apple office for the best place to buy the specific type of stapler that the Apple office was trying to get but that that specific office supply store could not supply.
So ask me anything you need to know about the next stage of the reissue plans. Because as you can see, I'm about as close as you can get to the inner sanctum.

This prick:
"Gripe of the day. People squawking about the sound listening on their fricken cell phones or through their laptop speakers. Please stop. At the very least listen through your main system before commenting on muddy bass, distortion and other specific audio issues. PLEASE!! Ron"
noahjld said: ↑ What if someone doesn’t have a “main” system? Then, in my opinion, their comments aren't really valid. This is an audio forum after all. To make statements like specific instruments are distorted or the stereo field is too wide or narrow is practically impossible to tell via laptop speakers, standard PC speakers and cheap ear buds. The quality of gear does make a difference when posting about audio quality merits. It just does. Ron
PS It's like someone basing the sound quality of a motion picture based on the external speaker at the drive-in or in an old, poorly situated cinema.
PPS The source makes a difference too. You tube, lossy streams, all of that can affect what folks hear. Yea, the bass can sound over-modulated on cheap systems, via shi%%y lossy sources... but sound immense and powerful on better systems.

In fact, if your system is truly resolving enough, you can still here the click in I Want You (She's So Heavy). Unfortunately, you fuckers are too poor to ever experience that. Me? I got to hear it while hanging out at Abbey Road with my buddies Mark and Giles.

Bit patronising isn’t it? What if people can’t afford a decent system? Is there a minimum baseline for the sort of equipment someone should possess before commentating on sound quality etc?
"Actually, yes. If all one has is youtube streams on a crappy laptop. It's not meant as a slam against people with less-than-decent systems, it's just their opinion is faulty based onn what they do have. Now, I'm not talking about audiophile $10,000 plus systems. Though they to will reveal more of the release... but more appropriately a modest to good stereo system with quality speakers and a decent amp. Ron"

Well it used to be the rule here that you had to list your gear in your profile before offering opinions on SQ. Please don't play the lame, guilt-trip, SJW, "what if people can't afford a decent system" BS. That's NOT what Ron was addressing even in the slightest.
