Has the 'park bench' GH album ever been released on CD? I know it's been superseded by many far more comprehensive hits collections, but that LP was huge in the UK in the 70s.
I would like the CD with the park bench cover. I mean, I have all those songs umpteen times but that was a special album as it introduced me (and probably most of the UK) to Abba.
That Abba 'park bench' Greatest Hits has to be their most famous album in the UK. It was in every house I knew at the time.
I must say that the Greatest Hits album (park bench cover) could have been in this poll. This was how many people discovered Abba. It was released in 1975 and many of the 'hits' were new to UK listeners.
I think nearly every home in the UK had a copy of this LP.

I like the 'park bench' GH cover but thought the original sleeve was hideous. They made the right decision in changing it.
Daft prices abound for the 'park bench' GH CD. There's one on eBay now for £75.
I suppose growing up with the park bench cover. Even though it serves no purpose as I have the songs many times over (as I'm sure we all do), but I'd love the Greatest Hits album on CD. It was released, but copies are scarce and don't come cheap.
The original ‘park bench’ GH album, which adorned most UK albums in the 70s, is perhaps oddest of all as at least half it’s tracks weren’t hits here.

If you're terribly old you'll remember Abba's Greatest Hits LP being in just about every UK home in the 70s. Everyone loved the 'park bench' gatefold sleeve.
I think every home in the U.K. had a copy of Abba's Greatest Hits. The one with the 'park bench' cover, right? It was an odd comp as Abba had only had a few hits here at this point and the rest of the LP was made up of European hits that we weren't familiar with at all!
I'd dearly love the park bench GH CD but I think it was only given a limited release in Canada. I saw it on eBay recently for £75.
I’ve managed to secure a copy of Abba’s Greatest Hits on CD. Hardly an unusual release, but this is the one with the ‘park bench’ sleeve and is mighty rare on CD.
Managed to get a copy of the CD of the Greatest Hits album with the park bench cover. It’s pretty scarce. I’ll be honest and say it’s only because that LP was everywhere in the 70s and I totally grew up with it that I wanted the CD as a memento. It’s not because there’s anything out of the ordinary on it!
It was in practically every home in the 70s. Along with the Carpenters The Singles 1969-1973!
The CD, though as I said features nothing I haven’t got 100 times before, is still great to own as it was such a special album to me.
