"2010-I bought one in "Collector's Condition" from a forum member for $350.00. Visually, it was gorgeous, and sounded great. The whole 2 track thing being ridiculous in retrospect, but so exciting back then. Then it ended up safely tucked away in a drawer. For many years. Then I got the Immersion box in 2011, and the Blu ray became my go-to, to this day. Sold the 2 track here, in our classifieds, for $175.00. As B.B. said, the thrill was gone." Twat. He'll buy it again.

That's why he raises hell when he could've saved $1.13 from a supplier other than the one he ordered the newest live Marshall Tucker Band elpee from.

Bought for $350, sold for $175? Am I reading this right? An album available for pennies on Amazon. What a fucking sucker.

Kind of sucks he could only find someone half as stupid as he is to buy his record back. If only he could have found someone twice as stupid! What am I saying, that's rarer than a pair of Ringo's trousers from a first state Butcher cover!

Discogs will go on until or unless people decide to stop doing their work for them. It's a cynically brilliant model: have unpaid volunteers build and maintain your database, then profit by taking a cut from all of those users' marketplace transactions. What has Discogs — as opposed to their users — actually done or created? Monetizing (and wildly successfully so) a volunteer community effort is their only achievement, which was undoubtedly the idea in the first place. I've bought a ton of LPs and CDs at Discogs, but not for a second have I ever considered listing my collection there.
