Be that as it may, STEVE was not the average kid. He was a sheltered and socially-awkward rich-mans child. With self-aggrandizing poats like this, he always talks about how "WE did this and that". I actually believe he remembers the Zenith, the 360 label and where his father bought it: that was probably his main focus at the time. I have more trouble believing that he had friends that were not John Oteri.

Claus's response in that thread is illuminating. In essence, he is telling the SHiTEs that Hooofman's career was effectively terminated with the demise of Audio Futility. Full stop. It will be interesting if/how SHiTEville deals with this simple truth. As we are aware, the truth is not something that plays well over there. I'm sure the dipshits are expecting joyous tidings forthcoming any day announcing some new (special) project of Daddy's. Surely the actual fate of their hero has yet to sink in.

Excellent work Suzan! I love this:
“A chance to master that album from the correct stereophonic analog sources in my "style" was a pretty exciting thought.”
But but but, I thought Daddy religiously stayed true to the originals, never making any changes?

Don't go too tough on yourself. Remember the common denomination at SC is that at some point we were all part of the flock. And, again at some point, we all came to the same conclusion. It's our raison d'être. Very true!

I thought that same thing. The one job he has is to not impart anything into the process. He's so proud to say that he doesn't change anything, he just makes it "right." How many unsung guys made perfectly good "remasters" in the 70's and 80's when stampers wore out? It's not that tough a job.

I can't imagine Mark Wilder was a member for very long over there. Probably as long as Al Kooper.

STEVE re-opened a thread from 2014. As if that effort wasn't exhausting enough, STEVE promptly took the opportunity to re-trash Lee Herschberg from a poat he made in 2003. STEVE Hoffman. All class. Al-l the time. Is it any wonder why he is so revered in the BiZ? Thanks, STEVE!

Two poats from the “staff” currently praising Lee’s work on a James Taylor compilation. This thread will be closed again soon, or the poats will be deleted. MLutthans: hodgo:

Thankfully STEVE has taken the time out from his busy work schedule to attend to important matters pending in the Forum.

Here's more "expert" advice from Dr. STeVE. I gently told him back then that if I had followed this advice, I'd be dead now. Of course they Goatsed my post.

STeVE is, of course, well versed in the narcotic arts.

"Ever try chewing 8 Vicodins in an emergency like that? 10 mg.."
Keith Richards and Rush Limbaugh were having lunch with STeVE at Jerry's Deli. After lunch, while STeVE was using, Keith finally said to HiM, "No more, man, Rush and I are good."
