Normally I don’t contribute here, or at the old site, and it’s mainly because I probably couldn’t say it better than what most of SC came up with. Honestly, some of THE funniest shit I have read in the past 8-10 years on the interwebbys has been courtesy of (old and new) SC. The Dude, Cola, take a bow (but none of that Beach Boys suck stuff 😊 - although if there’s one thing I wish was saved from the old SC, it would be Cola’s diatribe after The Smile box was announced: “I miss Denny! I miss Carl! I miss Murry!”...). Anyway, as my title says, have the Shite-ers actually gotten worse recently? Holy shit, the f’in level has taken a nose dive to the point where it’s not even funny anymore, it’s just plain asinine and sad. The topics, the responses, the lack of any type of error correction. Sure, any post that didn’t toe the line was always toast, but there were enough members that would subversively sneak the truth in once in a while. I guess at this point all we can hope for is the inevitable 100 pages of condolences (and meat trays!) when Steve announces Audio F’d-elity has finally gone under.

It's getting worse because the SHiTEs are finally starting to run out of things to talk about- they're just repeating themselves at this point, so all they can do is find variations on the same tired old shit they've been discussing ad nauseum over there for years already.

The new Fleetwood Mac thread that began on Wednesday already has the potential to outlast Fleetwood Mac themselves.

I think to answer this question properly we need a poll.

I don't know if it's worse, but it does seem to be getting duller. There are probably fewer examples of outright insanity, but there are more and more threads with titles like "Singers who look weird with a guitar" and "Could Warner Brothers have stopped the collapse of Badfinger?" (both real examples from today).

I'm tempted to start some inane threads of my own, just to ride the wave. Things like

I knew it was over when I started thinking Dumangl and Gnrat were the voices of reason.

It has never seemed purely coincidence that the members who took their own lives collaborated on a song with the chorus "I can't live, if living is without you" It seems the idea of suicidal desperation had crossed their minds even around the peak of their success, though on that occasion they sublimated it to create a work of art that touched millions. forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/could-warner-brothers-have-stopped-the-collapse-of-badfinger.747639/#post-18607434What Freeman seems to be forgetting is that Badfinger didn't even write the fucking song, Harry Nilsson did, and when Harry said "I can't live, if living is without you" he was probably talking about booze and not a woman...

Actually, Nilsson merely covered it. It was written by Ham and Evans. Harry was likely thinking about booze when he sang it though...

Actually, the Badfinger guys were thinking about Paul McCartney's penis, and Harry Nilsson was talking about angel dust. Needless to say, all these guys are now dead. Even Maccas' wang?
