God damn it! I think the premise of Arnold Grove's bit is actually funny. At least he completely fucks up the delivery.

The official McCartney store is selling a deluxe digital version of iii with bonus tracks. The site says that purchases are limited to four per customer. Who is dumb enough to pay for a download four times? Wait... I kind of answered my own question.

Up to four purchases will count as individual sales.

You are still a dumb dumb if you buy more than one download.

And presumably it must have happened enough times in the past that it required a notification...

You are still a dumb dumb if you buy more than one download. I suspect that it isn't regular people buying downloads but bots or whatever to get the sales up.

This is why I don't care who is number one on the charts, or who won the grammy award, or who got into the Jann Wenner Hall Of Fame. It's all manipulated bullshit. Forget the US elections, this is where the real rigging happens. And on some level, I get it. I totally believe the theory that Taylor Swift's father bought up thousands of copies of her debut album. How the hell else did she manage to get it to chart when she was a small fish in a sea of similar enough acts. She didn't work hard and do promotion to get famous but rather she did all that to prove she deserved it. And hey, all the power to her. If her music sucked, none of it would have mattered. She and her family/team did what they had to do to get her the attention and then from there it's up to the public. Many others have worked the same schemes to get their moment in the spotlight and if they don't have the chops then it doesn't get them anywhere.
What I find distasteful is all this modern crap of 17 different versions of the same goddamned thing, streaming manipulation which is openly encouraged. And it's all by big acts just trying to reign supreme. Again, Taylor Swift. She can drop an album with no warning and everyone is gonna go and download it. That alone will get it to number 1. Releasing half a dozen different covers and whatever else will just get it so that it's a huge lead over number 2. For what it's worth, her second album this year didn't pull all the bullshit. And it still hit number 1.
This McCartney stuff is an utter waste. There are more copies being pressed and sold than there are people who want to even hear it. All the things we hate on about SHites is being encouraged and supported by McCartney and the record company. Of course, these idiots welcome it with open arms and open wallets so the cycle is just gonna continue and the limit is gonna get pushed even further.
The hilarious part to me is that the website download includes the bonus tracks. At least with Taylor Swift, the CDs contained an extra song or two not featured on the download/streaming editions.

I'm honestly depressed that it won't hit #1 on Billboard so depressed I'm listening to Press To Play. At least it made Amazon #1 over here. I hope Macca isn't depressed over it.

They must feel that Ram is the first Indie album, thus ensuring "hipsters" are influenced and inspired by it.

How is Ram indie? The “live a little be a Gypsy” part certainly reeks of indie 😒
