What did Todd have for lunch on December 5, 1983, hmmmm? HMMMMMM??? Come on, DeVoe, you're slipping!

He keeps posting this stupid video as proof Rundgren needs to be in the HOF.
This is laughable.

So, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is supposed to merge with Cirque du Soleil?

The video proof Todd deserves to be in Thee RnR Hall of Fame is a guitar solo that is awkwardly edited a minute in so we can get to the good part: where he stops playing.

Any attempt a Todd fanatic has ever made to get me to appreciate the guy has always resulted in me liking him less. If only it would dawn on these losers that the reason the world doesn't celebrate their guy is that he's just not that great.

They can't understand how you can't like what they like and are almost like born again Christians in their zeal to get you to join them.

PHil Tufnel's solos definitely had more personality and were more memorable.

Even in these dark times it gives me some comfort to know that DeVoe is once again going to die a little bit on the inside when his man crush TODD doesn't get voted in.

Todd's career peaked in 1968 with "Open My Eyes", a great 45. I haven't heard anything by him since that comes close.
I've never heard a Kate Bush song that wasn't pure shit.

No argument on Open My Eyes here. Saying that, this is way past Todd's prime, but I like it for the same reasons I like The Rutles.

There's quite a bit of XTC/Dukes of Stratosphere in some of the tracks on that one (or visa versa) too.

"Open My Eyes" is one of the greatest things ever and Rundgren's first few solo albums are pretty good, but I have absolutely no interest in anything post-1973 or so.

I have always liked Todd's older stuff and hung in there even through The Ever Popular Tortured Artist Effect. The 2-CD Best of Utopia just about covers that somewhat bloated Todd formulation era for me just fine. I'm not sure if all the hate is due to DeVoe yapping on about him or what, but I stand by my Todd.

You can like whoever you want. But his constant "Todd is a genius cuz he played marimba blah blah blah" is beyond annoying.
