Exclusive: Steve Hoffman to rebound. He's a legendary mastering engineer, revered by all in the industry. And he now can be yours. What's the most important thing at your wedding? If your answer is "music" and "sound system quality," you're not alone. Yet, it's easy to pick a house band or a DJ who will bang your eardrums with loudness and lack of micro dynamics. Fortunately, you can now pick Steve "Golden Ears" Hoffman to make your memorable event even more memorabler. For a very reasonable sum of money, Steve Hoffman will entertain you and your friends, through his impeccable selection of music, culled mostly from the Audio Fidelity and DCC vaults. Do you have a corporate event that you dread? Get Steve Hoffman hired and transform it into a magical moment, as colorful as some artwork by Bob Wynne... Steve is single... and ready to mingle at your wedding, funeral wake, bat mitzvah, brit milah or anniversary. Between sets, he will entertain you with his true stories about The Beatles, the Mona Lisa and his minty Baldwin. To make your special occasion the stuff of legends, you just need a legend. Steve Hoffman is a legend. For rates and bookings, contact marsha_blonstein@aol.com.

It makes me want to get divorced just so we can remarry and have STeVe play the event. Just worried in case she goes after my minty vinyls in the divorce proceedings (and under grades them on Discogs!!)

You guys laugh, but just imagine if STeVE was offering to hang out with SHites for a fee, maybe play them some unreleased See Dees or the White Album masters. Hell, maybe he could come over and set the tone controls on their gear. Sadly, I’ll bet there’d be takers.

They'd have to have Depend on standby as they'd be pissing in their trousers.

The lone Amazon review of this is hilarious. ★★★☆☆ Where's Mr. Hoffman? The title says it all. I ordered this CD with great anticipation because Morada Music is owned by Marshall Blonstein, who also runs the great Audio Fidelity label. The AF label is of course known for having Steve Hoffman as its primary mastering engineer. Rarely have Marshall and Steve ever worked apart from each other, and so I was confident this CD would utilize the great talents of Mr. Hoffman. Sadly, this does not seem to the case. What we get is an odd compilation of contemporary tunes that seems to be designed to fit in with this latest dancing hype. Now, that wouldn't have been such a bad thing if Steve was involved somehow, but he is not. He could have added some tubey mid-range magic to this, some lifelikeness to the vocals and maybe some analog warmth as well, because the soundquality here is just digital, sterile & harsh. So bottom line is, I could tolerate the songs (I know Marshall is a real music fan and I don't believe he would put out something he doesn't believe in) but not in this kind of soundquality, thus keeping it from 5 stars. Still, if there is a Vol.2 to appear soon, I will buy it.
