forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/affordable-cheap-system-you-could-live-with.951528/ Polk TSi Speakers - $289 Yamaha CD-S300 - $300 Yamaha A-S501 - $549 Total - $1,138 I could (and have lived*) live happy with this. By comparison, my current SACD player only cost more than the system above, and the total cost of my current system is $5,914. * I had the Polk Monitor 40s, same as the TSi, but they are no longer available. I also had the CD-S300 and the equivalent of the A-S501 (an older model.) George P, Wednesday at 7:12 PM#2 My current system retailed at about $25,000. Through judicious bargain hunting (some of which was frankly ridiculous, once-in-a-life-time pricing), I think I have paid probably about $6,000 for the whole thing. It is fantastic, but I do wonder whether to sell up and live with a cheaper system for a while. shug4476, Today at 4:34 AM#10 I think. I'm a real audiophiler. Have an expensive HiFi system. I love to listen GOOD to my music. But, if necessary... Instead if my xx000$system, I could be happy with somewhat of 250€ or € or £. But please... PLEASE! You can take my HiFi.... but DON'T take my CD's! siebrand,

"I'm sure I could live with a small well put together system and like most thats where I began.
But, after about 45 years of careful upgrades I have no desire to go back to square one. Won't bother listing my two mid to upper mid systems as their on my profile."

Heart Of Glass? ?? The Peppers version of Love Rollercoaster is abysmal.

I liked Blondie OK but Heart of Glass is one wimpy-ass song. But these are the people who think it's all edgy and stuff to like Rapture.
