I never thought of that about The Band, but I think you're right. I like the brown album a lot, but I think that's all anyone would ever need. I have a couple friends who are at least serious enough musicians that they've recorded and done at least regional touring before getting jobs and raising families, and they can discuss The Band like Der Tonmeister's disciples can talk Beatles. I used to wonder what I was missing but then I figured I just didn't care. Maybe that's why.

This from a thread about a DIY turntable platform:
“ There are sonic differences between 3-point and 4-point supports. I like the theory behind a 3-point approach, but I always end up liking the sound of 4 points more. Four supports will have more bass weight.”
Yeah, that makes total sense and I’m sure is scientifically verifiable.

Of course it’s all a mute point if the plug socket is too far from the original electrical source.

So did any SHites go to the Great White concert? Has any band killed more fans than Great White? They make those extreme death metal bands look like real poseurs.

I almost find it fuckin' amazing the surviving members of Great White can even live with themselves, I don't care if it was the club owners and their management that were really to blame for that inferno, they went along with it just the same. This ain't eleven people getting trampled to death at a Who concert, and at least The Who had good enough music to transcend such a tragedy. Great White doesn't. The Station nightclub fire IS Great White's fucking legacy. They should be so proud...

After The Station you couldn't get me to see Great White. Once bitten twice shy.
