Ladies and gentlemen, you forget his unrelenting support for white supremacists. BradOlson? I do not know anything about this.

stereocentral.freeforums.net/thread/694/doubting-sh-tv-cesspoolAlso started a RIP thread for Jonathan David Brown, who was a sound engineer in the Christian contemporary music scene, while failing to mention his greatest claim to fame, helping a KKK member to escape authorities after he gunned down a synagogue in Nashville. They were both members of the same white supremacist group.

I take back what I said earlier, I had no idea. I always just thought he was some harmless dim witted SHiTe who just lived a bumpkin life. I had no idea about this. Wow, just wow.

They were both members of the same white supremacist group. I checked out that Jonathan David Brown RIP thread. Here’s a telling exchange: Um, he was a white supremacist and a criminal. Why is anyone celebrating this jagoff? Due to his legendary status in Contemporary Christian Music as a producer. His work with Petra says it all. I liked Bill Cosby's comedy and watched The Cosby Show every Thursday when I was a kid, but I have a feeling I won't be paying tribute to him when he kicks the bucket. I’d like to think that Brad Olson’s autism tends to give him tunnel vision in regards to the darker side of assholes like JDB. (It might also help to explain him quoting disgusting tripe from The Federalist website.) Whatever the case, I think I’ll just ignore him from now on. That old PBS profile on the guy made me feel a modicum of sympathy, but the other shit tends to cancel it all out.

It could also be how he was raised or a consequence of a few people he hangs out with, so it's hard to judge. We just need to remember not to be quick to call him harmless or a good person.

I added Pet Sounds on Quboz to take a listen since I had never heard it. I figured with the way they fawn over it it must be worth something as a musical experience.
It wasn’t.

I love it but I can completely understand someone hating it. What do I know, I still love Forever Changes too.

I think my deep-seated adoration of Forever Changes (which hasn’t lessened since the first time I heard it) is why I can’t ever truly break away from Hoffman-land.

Guilty as charged, Pet Sounds MFSL, DVD-A, Sessions box and fuzzy anniversary issue owner here. I only have the Rhino Forever Changes, and the Rhino mini box of Love.

I have only have Pet Sounds on Simply Vinyl records and Forever Changes as part of the two-CD box Love Story, where the A side is on disc 1 and the B side on disc 2. I would imagine these are the frowned upon ways to listen to those albums.
