What an incredibly dismissive and asshole-ish reply from The Hoofucker. He just can't be bothered justifying his earlier "legal reasons" response. What an absolute turd prick. I'm surprised he hasn't trotted out some lie-masquerading-as-an-anecdote about lunch with Charles Schultz. Or Vince Guaraldi. STeVE dated Lucy in high school.

I heard Steve and John Oteri tag teamed Snoopy one night when they were drunk and/or high on acid...

One of his ridiculous posts was his response to one of his luddite followers asking the question, which is closer to to a master tape in sound CD or vinyl.
He answered vinyl and that he has tested it himself. That was when I started questioning his credentials - I mean not only is that technically impossible, any engineer that has worked with both formats would find such a statement laughable.

That’s exactly why serious audio engineers think audiophiles are a joke I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t want any music (or any item for that matter) to sound or look good if they spent their money on it. However, I have discovered/learned that audiophile is a disease in that if you enjoy something and think it sounds good and someone else disagrees instead of agreeing to disagree they will fight you to bloody death about why you’re wrong. They will then use SIGHT graphs, numbers, etc. to prove how wrong you are, and then criticize your choice of equipment (or lack of if you don’t fill out your profile) just to run their point home. But as we all know that never happens in Hoofyville.

He’s changed his tune over the years. At one point, SACD was THE way to go.

Do you ever think Paul is on this forum? He’d probably ask, “What’s a hoffman? You mean like my bass?” It’s been said that Paul spent some time listening to mixes at Hoffman’s place, on his couch. That’s true, listening to Steve’s DCC remasters of his albums.

I say B.S. to McCartney sitting at Hoffman's house listening to DCC remasters. Of course they all believe he has listened to the Beatles Master Tapes in Abbey Road Studios also. Another load of B.S. That lie just gets him street cred to the SHites over there, and they believe him.

With all of Steve's minty Leicas you'd think someone with an ego the size of Steve's would have plenty of photographic evidence of such a meeting.

Two words: non-disclosure agreement. STEVE is a VERY IMPORTANT MAN in the biz. He CAN NOT divulge certain details. If he DID, he would have to KILL you.

I believe back when the Beatles remastered CDs were issued (2009) a lot of those SHites believed that Hoffman had signed an agreement not to comment or review the remastered Beatles CDs on his forum, fearing a negative review would plummet sales worldwide.
