I believe back when the Beatles remastered CDs were issued (2009) a lot of those SHites believed that Hoffman had signed an agreement not to comment or review the remastered Beatles CDs on his forum, fearing a negative review would plummet sales worldwide. I remember catching hell for saying I liked the way they sounded. I also caught hell for saying the vinyl stereo releases sounded good but apparently I am not to like because 1) they are sourced from digital; 2) there are not Steve approved. (Time to search and see if I can find that discussion unless it’s been gorfed.)

He (in a sickeningly coy series of teaser-posts) pooped on them and Giles anyway, and they shifted loads of units, anyway. (Sorry if I'm recalling it wrong.) But of course those phools still think he's revered. In the biz.

Those 80's Beatles CDs they all ragged on big time there overnight became audiophile masterpieces after the 2009 CDs were issued. Funny they accept reissued digital vinyl from the Stones, Zeppelin and Pink Floyd over there but they have a shit melt down with The Beatles Stereo Vinyl reissues. They hate them because Hoffman does not endorse them. Hoffman also approves the Beatles 80s CDs so naturally they also like them.

Because STeVE said something like “sorry, I can’t comment” about the ceedeez without ever explaining what he meant. He then let the SHites run with the idea that he was some important industry person who signed an agreement to stay quiet. Typical STeVE sort of thing.

There was a discussion about how much they hated the remixed Yellow Submarine ceedee (with one person going so far to say that Paul comes in 0.01 seconds later on Eleanor Rigby like how the hell would anyone know?) but once the Sgt Pepper and White Album remixes came out it was “Why couldn’t they sound like the Yellow Submarine Songtrack?” If you follow along too closely there you can find yourself getting sucked into that universe and losing the enjoyment of music. (I also like to see them meltdown when someone comes along and says they enjoy the stereo mixes more than the mono ones. Real world problems I guess.)

It is a big black hole of misery over there, especially when the Beatles are the subject, which it is daily and never ends.

There are at least two schools there, one holds that only original anything is worth listening to, and two, that the latest and greatest release is the bee's knees because I just spent a bunch of money on it. The 09 CDs have their passionate adherents, as do the 87s. YSS is a cult object among a few, and an object of derision among others. The majority, it seems, actually enjoy the newest stereo reimaginings, but some of that is certainly buyers justification. You can even find fans of Let It Be Naked, which is all you need to know about the diversity of Beatardedness there.

Fuck the Beatles. And fuck the 800 page thread that’s coming up in September for the 10th anniversary of the remasturbated boxes. Of which said thread will include all of the same comments and navel gazing that the original 800 page thread did in ‘09. I honestly spend 2 minutes skimming that forum, all I need to do is look at the titles of the threads, and I’m done. Unless I see a post from Ralph B, or a handful of others. That place IS worse than it was. They’ve moved from harmless whiny bullshit from the ‘phools to poaters with serious, scary issues that really should be monitored. And fuck the Hitler Youth that all those tired, old white bastards have either raised or are raising.
Really good job, Steve. Take a bow.

Two words: non-disclosure agreement. STEVE is a VERY IMPORTANT MAN in the biz. He CAN NOT divulge certain details. If he DID, he would have to KILL you. The DCC legal department advised him on it, ok? Pal?

I hear something new with each listen of Revolution Nine.
Problem is that it's voices. And they continue after the song ends.

When I read this tweet by Rian Johnson (Knives Out, The Last Jedi), I wondered if he was parodying Steve’s infamous story about George Martin, “Rain” and John Lennon actually singing frontwards. He’s definitely nailed the pompous and clueless style to the T.
