I wish I could say that I stopped watching his stuff after Victorious ended but I totally kept up with Sam And Cat too. An entire show built around two flanderized supporting characters from previous shows. Jennette McCurdy (Sam) was going through a lot of personal issues and in a very public way, while Ariana Grande (Cat) was on the cusp of superstardom as a singer. They had outgrown the roles and really should have moved on. Not to mention that while the show was decent enough, it was a far cry from previous shows, which remain iconic parts of pop culture.
I still stand by my claim that his shows have a certain "ickyness" factor that was absent from other shows. I was too young at the time to be particularly bothered by it, but now some moments come off as creepy. Other shows, like on Disney, managed to to include some "adult" humor while still keeping kosher.
Yeah I was mainly exposed to iCarly since my kids loved it and it was a legitimately good sitcom. Schneider is obviously an easy mark since he looks like a human Jabba the Hutt, but I would hope that if he did anything untoward towards anyone he would have been called out by now, especially given the age we live in. My friend said he didn't pick up on anything too creepy on set, just that, again, he was a huge asshole to work with. Hopefully we don't see a Surviving Dan Schneider documentary in 20 years. There's plenty of "evidence" out there. The accusations are compelling but far from definitive, especially without anyone who actually worked with him ever calling him out. But there are pictures of him being way too close to actress Erin Sanders, which I believe came from her own website (all the pics are watermarked as such, and I think I once visited her site when they were still there, but now her site has been updated with recent photoshoots.) And his abrupt end at Nickelodeon still seems fishy. His shows might not have been anywhere near the old stuff, but Henry Danger (which I've never seen) is still being made despite him no longer being involved.
I didn't initially have cable as a kid, so I mostly "missed out" on the original version of All That, but I got it just as the Amanda Show started. And then there was the second version of All That which I didn't really pay attention too I guess since I don't remember too much about it. But then I loved Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, and then Victorious. My sister and I still quote lines from Drake & Josh.

It's all relative. The same people who are applauding this type of censorship are getting transgender folks into classrooms to read to little kids and mandating gender-free bathrooms in schools.

It's funny that the same dipshits who are whining about censorship in a cartoon are also wringing their hands because a Banana Splits remake is going to tarnish their childhood memories because the horror angle will terrify unsuspecting children. Idiots.

I'm sure I've made it appear that we can take all the credit for our daughter being a Feminist and whilst we prepared her for school, the school then kicked in. I don't know anything about the education in other countries but here, from the age of 6, my daughter started to learned about all religions, sexuality, equality and discrimination. Once that happens you'll find yourself being challenged, our daughter had a brief period when she was outraged when we referred to 'black' people. If you let them watch these 'harmless' films it should come back to haunt you, as they'll be applaud about what you let them watch. Yikes. This is one heck of an inadvertent indictment of the UK public school system.

Good thing Disney doesn't own 'Animal House.' But that film couldn't get made today anyway. I can't say I like everything Disney does but you have to admit that they do do the right thing even if it means losing money. They are thankfully very progressive and embrace the LGBT community, that is why they said they would not film in Georgia recently. That would cost them money as it was cheaper to film there but they did the right thing. Also, there is nothing simple about this type of revision or about boycotting an entire state with plenty of diverse residents. Anyone blindly applauding such things in some sort of misguided allegiance to one form of "correctness" or another is not thinking for themselves. Honestly, this kind of boilerplate response looks to me like someone not thinking for themselves. Last time I was more specific, a gort deleted my post. Which I think helps substantiate my response, not yours. That doesn't even make sense. Again, sounds less like thinking for yourself than just *blindly* taking the stance that you are being victimized for your opinions, when what is really happening is that you tried (and keep trying) to shoehorn your political stances into a forum where all political discussions are discouraged. We're lucky you're available to play make-believe misogyny police. What would we do without you? However, your time may be better spent poring over the vast cannon of offensive American films to tell us what other scenes we should delete. We so need your help.

People who change their gender identities are a perversion of God's nature, unwillingly foisted on the rest of us by leftist Nazis! Now, to get back to my thread on who rocked the hardest: Bowie or the New York Dolls...

I'm going to have a shootout between 1968 and 1981 pressings of Switched-On Bach. I'm guessing the differences should be..."revealing".

Notice, they'll never talk about building homeless shelters, because they don't give a shit about anyone but themselves... Grifters.

Grifters. Actually I did notice, and they did speak of building homeless shelters. You, on the other hand, have not.
Therefore, you suck.
