Yeah, looks like I might have spoken too soon about a total purge of Kaa...looks like the last time the little bastard was online in SHiTEland was yesterday, 5:54pm. Even his goddamn "Great American Novel" thread is still up.
His comments are still there in the tape deck thread.
Interesting. Every other trace of Kaa seems to have been stricken from the record.
They probably forgot about that one. I doubt it's just a ban. I guess the question to ask is, in what situation would posts be completely wiped from some threads and not others, as well as a person's profile be inaccessible. As you suggested earlier, this is probably a case of an attempted cleansing, a-la Stalin, but with some traces still left, but will also vanish once either they read this or realise they forgot to erase some of it. If they are reading this, then we're kind of doing them a service by pointing it out to 'em!
How can you tell someone is banned? 'profile is not available?' Other forums with the same software (e.g. Talkbass) have a 'banned' banner like the SH 'thread starter.' No surprise the gorts don't use it though.
If you try to put their name in the search box and it doesn't autofill then that means they're banned.
I see. I noticed that's also the case if someone is not banned but just hasn't been active for a long time.
