They trash Mr. Mayo and an SC shoutout. Then M*****l appears. Wildest Cat and Cock in Ass are there too. It's too good to be true... The Wild Cat is a member of Stereo Cenral?

Only at SH.tv will you see people solemnly claiming that Surf's Up is a better album than Pet Sounds. You know me. I'm no Pet Sounds evangelist, but I do know a good album from an embarrassingly shitty one that contains songs about hippies rubbing avocado butter on their filthy feet and Mike Love paeans to the National Guard. Not to mention infantile lyrics like "Ain't it SAD what's happened to the water – It's going BAD." Really, all that album has going for it is "Til I Die." In other words, about 95 seconds of the record is even worth a listen. I never did like the "completed" Frankenstein version of "Surf's Up" here. The production is 70s cocaine sludge; the added coda is cheesy slop. Quit praising this botched bullshit. I agree completely, although I also like the title track. The idiots over there making that claim are doing so because they’re contradictory assholes with no life except for posting unpopular opinions on a message board in a desperate bid to appear more knowledgeable than everyone else. Fucking losers.

Next thing you know, they'll be saying Porgy and Bess is better than Kind of Blue.

The original 1966 Brian Wilson demo (on the old Good Vibrations box set) is the definitive version. It's probably my favorite Beach Boys song.
And yes, the Surf's Up LP sucks ass. Any album with the cloying, proto-Reaganite boomer anthem "Disney Girls (1957)" deserves all the scorn it receives.

Bruce Johnston makes Mike Love sound like Wilson Pickett. Screw him. I like Carl's songs and "Til I Die."

This is all correct.

And there’s another tell. JohnnyQuest always dissed the Beastie Boys.
Penny24 :
Paul’s Boutique alone was a giant influence to many and the Beasties were respected by tons of hip hop artists. Dipshit.
