Hoofy:
Cardiff’s did what, Steve? Apparently STeVE doesn’t have a piece of equipment that he could look up those names. Too bad he doesn’t have anything by him that has internet available.
Was Hoofy in Wales or chasing whales from a Vicodin overdose?

That's right. STEVE's Mum was from ENGLAND. Which means she was ENGLISH. ENGLAND is where the BEATLES came from. So you see, STEVE is, in fact, related by birth, to the country the BEATLES came from. Are YOU blood-related to the BEATLES? What's that? That's what I thought. Heh.

Either way, I'm still contemplating the unfortunate twist of fate that didn't have them on the Titanic 24 years earlier.

More name dropping bullshit from the leader of the Vicodin Gang. Hoofy: Hooferman: Pinknik: Hooferman: BULL. FUCKING. SHIT. Just like the Patty Hearst story that STeVE stole from Ladd, Jim Ladd wrote a book on his time on KMET and NO PLACE is Hoofy even mentioned under an alias. Ladd was an L.A. institution on FM radio from 1970 through the 21st century. I have read up on those stations for years and not one time has STeVE ever been brought up, for any reason whatsoever. Jesus Christ this guy is pathetic. I guess boredom during this quarantine paid off. Started reading old threads and found this little nugget. I know more about KMET than STeVE and I wasn't even alive for its heyday. Fuck him. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KMET_(FM)I will gladly go downstairs and grab the book and tell you exactly who was on the air in 1976-1977. This guy truly is fucking clown shoes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KLACNo mention of Hoofy there, either.

Sorry, aqua, I'm not inclined to be charitable. You'd think for someone always at the zeitgeist of pop history, there would have been some kind of mention of Hoofy working there. Even if I gave the benefit of the doubt, believing he worked there, he answered phones or delivered mail or something. 20 bucks says he is (once again) inflating his importance to inflate his ego (as usual). He's been caught in far too many bullshit stories for me to take it seriously at all. At ALL.

Trust me I am not being charitable to STeVe at all, I just found it ironic that he posted this earlier today. Now one question I have is that STeVe is always talking about all these people he met at radio stations. I know singers/bands will do interviews at stations, though not as much now as 40+ years ago, but how is it that STeVe was the one who had the revolving door of “celebrities” come into his life? With all these alleged contacts in the music world the best he could do is work for some half-baked labels reimagining someone else’s creations? I am more likely to believe STeVe was a janitor at these stations than anything else.

With all these alleged contacts in the music world the best he could do is work for some half-baked labels reimagining someone else’s creations? I am more likely to believe STeVe was a janitor at these stations than anything else. I worked for a couple of famed rock stations in a major market. In a decade's time, I met a handful celebs, from A list to the Hoofy-like (scraping for even an ounce of recognition). This includes studio appearances, backstage, promotions, whatever. It may have died out more in the 00s, but that is why I called bullshit. In 1970s L.A., the number 2 media market in the U.S., there is no way in hell any radio station is gonna hire some inexperienced kid sight unseen. College radio means fuck-all. You still have to pay your dues. But not STEVE! I can see right through this one. You're right; at most, he was a janitor or something. Fetching coffee. I had to work my ass off to even be a board operator, with more experience than STeVE, and even then I was lucky to get that job. I won't lie...I spent time being the guy that walked the star to the air studio, and that was it. I don't feel the need to be THE guy that the statios revolved around. When I was honing my craft on overnights on a soccer mom station, that's what I was doing. Just that. Working on my skill in the dead of the night. Alone. 12-6 am. Playing Goddamn Lionel Richie and Journey ballads. But STEVE? Oh, he was number ONE in his timeslot, celebs called him from miles around just to chat, he singlehandedly kept the station rolling. So you know what? Go fetch me a coffee, STEVE. 2 creams, 2 sugars. And make it snappy.

None of his stories ever seem to be corroborated by anyone else. He's been a part of all this shit, yet no one ever mentions him? It's all pure fiction. Was he even the janitor? Or was he home in bed, listening to the radio and pretending he was there?

My point exactly! He always has to make it out to be more than it really was. All another way to tell his minions "I'm more important than you! I've been there, done that, met them, owned that'" so they all sit and drool.
I only called this one out because, like I said, I spent lots of time working with some of these DJs from the 70s and 80s, all of whom knew each other in some shape or form. So I read up on the histories so I knew as much as I could and at least appear knowledgeable. Reading that last night jumped right out at me. This fucker gets no goodwill from me. He's been caught too many times.
Even a section in that wiki article, you know..."The station was an early job for famed mastering engineer Steve Hoffman" or something. Nope. Nothing. So, again, where's my coffee, STEVE?
